BenQ announces the XL2546S, the updated version of the XL2546. Since its release, the ZOWIE XL2546 has become the monitor of choice for professional First-Person-Shooter (FPS) esports tournaments. The new XL2546S has the same features as XL2546 with the addition of Dynamic Accuracy Plus (DyAc+).

DyAc makes vigorous in-game actions such as spraying less blur. This allows gamers to see the position of crosshair and impact points more clearly which can help with recoil control. DyAc+ is based on this same technology and through panel optimization, provides gamers with a different option for actions such as spray control.

In order to experience the benefits of the XL2546S in-game, the computer should be able to generate over 240 frames per second (fps) consistently. We highly recommend that you first consider the PC hardware and settings for the games that you will be playing.

TN marketing at its finest

Whenever a new monitor is announced 99% of the time it's just another 27" 1440p or 1080p 240hz panel to throw on the heap with all the rest... Am I the only one who thinks there are enough 27" monitors to last us till the end of time? (personally I feel 27" is too small anyway, but that's just me)

Depends on how far you sit back. I’m usually at around 2 feet and anything over 27-28 becomes too large for primary focus. Plus at 1080p ugh... I actually like 24” unless it’s for productivity. Now if you are sitting across the room that’s a different story. I do agree monitors haven’t progressed much in years... 4K 120hz+ should have become mainstream by now.

Also while I get why they have the side flaps, it’s kinda like adding enormous bezels no?

I mean 27 inch is just a size, the tech behind it is what potentially makes it interesting.
A 27inch TN Quantum Dot Mini Led 200hz monitor seems like would make for a cool product imo
