Crysis Remastered, which sees the 2007 cult classic re-imagined on CryEngine 5, with new visual-effects, higher resolution textures, support for the latest PC standards, and possibly real-time ray-tracing; could include the campaigns of both the original Crysis and its spin-off, Crysis Warhead. This could follow the original campaign where you play as the protagonist "Nomad," as well as Warhead's more action-packed mission where you play "Psycho," Nomad's eccentric squad-mate. Rumors of Remastered packing content from both campaigns surfaced when Tim Willits from Saber Interactive hinted that the game would pack more than one campaign. Saber Interactive is co-developing Crysis Remastered with Crytek.

It would be great if it has Warhead remastered as well. I liked them both.

Considering its technically the same game, im all for it, I played the crap out of Warhead as well and switching between Nomad and Psycho could be interesting.
Heck I would find it pretty cool to start as Aztec and immediatly dying, could be a cool way to set a tone.

Not very exciting.

Don't get me wrong : I played my fair share of the original crysis and crysis:warhead too, but putting shiny new wears on a old scarecrow, it's still an old scarecrow.

Same old gameplay & dumb A.I.

Yeah I kinda struggle to see the point of this as well. Its mostly a graphical update, so bring it as one, not this weird scent of it being somehow new.

Ermm can you name many modern games that surpased it? the physics etc? and the AI ... well tis not the best no but its not terrible, heck its atleast on par with what we still have today but yeah a bit of a boost would be nice.
Ray Traced AI pathfinding and decision making when?

But we went through it some many times already (i finished both games 3-5 times at the very least).

Upscaled textures is not enough of an incentive, and it's not like we are so desperate to play something new that we need to bring out the old horses, are we ?

If anything, i find it rather lazy from the devs team and show a total lack of motivation to compete with the other major contenders in the FPS genre.

That, and i don't like the "milk'em as much as we can" attitude anyway.

That's my 2c.

It's a more legit game to remaster than bioshock series , metro or halo or the resident evil series.
Are you as against those, some were crap.
I think it's a good job, one works poorly on win 10 now.

Crysis plot line was weak, quite weak. Entire Crysis 1 felt more like a tech demo of their Cryengine.

Many. Would refute that including me, no game before allowed such freedom of approach. And no game before or after depicted alien ships better imho.

Multiplayer is no more and Crysis 2 opens Origin from Steam two launchers whit many bugs and performance problems i think its hyped, stupid game whits stupid drm. made by stupid american programmers.

Your understanding is that. It's American.

You put stupid into this whole statement bro, in large doses.

Fair enough you don't like it, your entitled an opinion.

But I doubt you even played it, through.

Ya if they could somehow merge the two into one game, that would be great. Enjoyed both games!

I played through Crysis and then Crysis Warhead and finally, Crysis 2 this summer. Crysis Warhead's inclusion of other Nanosuit Members battling North Korean nanosuit members - along with the train level was the only truly improved aspect.

Old Crysis with the benefits of the latest engine should be epic.

Seems like I am alone looking forward to this, hey ho

Pretty sure Crysis team was German. Crytek at that time was a German company. Just saying.

Crysis in my humble opinion was the last truly breakthrough in terms of graphics and physics, the fact that everything was distructuble was incredible and there's still no game that matches Crysis and remember it was launched in 2007!

someone needs to make a milking the gamer meme for all these remastered games coming out.

"Hey guys we reworked textures and want to charge you for the same game again"

I mean the movie industry does it so

I still think the original crysis (and warhead) both could use some love to make them work properly I'm 2020 and if that also comes with a bunch of updates to the game itself (and a small price to get in) then I'm cool with it.

I've owned both warhead and og crysis but never finished them and when I went to play them some years later getting them working was terrible and even after doing so it still had issues and by this time really started to feel dated.

Give me similar experience to the look and feel of crysis in 2007 (but runs much more like 2020) and I'm willing to give it a go.
