G.SKILL International Enterprise Co., Ltd., the world's leading manufacturer of extreme performance memory and gaming peripherals, is releasing new extreme-speed DDR4 memory kits that push 16 GB and 8 GB modules up to DDR4-4400 with a low latency of CL17-18-18-38 across the board, under the Trident Z Royal family. Upgrading specifications across all three fronts of memory frequency speed, module capacity, and low memory latency, these specifications are engineered with Samsung B-die ICs and designed for the latest Intel Z490 platform to achieve higher performance for gaming and content creation.

As 32 GB memory total capacity becomes the standard for gaming PC and performance PC builds, G.SKILL recognizes the importance of extreme performance 16 GB x2 memory kit configurations. Rising to the challenge, G.SKILL has created the DDR4-4400 CL17-18-18-38 memory kit with 32 GB (16 GB x2) capacity under the Trident Z Royal family. See the memory kit stress testing on the MSI MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS motherboard with an Intel Core i5-10600K processor in the screenshot below.

Additionally, the same DDR4-4400 CL17-18-18-38 32 GB (16 GB x2) memory kit is seen tested on the ASRock Z490 AQUA motherboard and the Intel Core i9-10900K processor in the screenshot below.

At the same time, G.SKILL is also lowering the memory latency of 16 GB (8 GB x2) kits at DDR4-4400 to CL17-18-18-38. As seen in the screenshot below, the memory kit is validated on the ASUS ROG MAXIMUS XII FORMULA motherboard, based on the Intel Z490 chipset, with the Intel Core i9-10900K processor.

These high-speed, low-latency Trident Z Royal memory specifications will be available via G.SKILL worldwide distribution partners in Q3 2020.

No interest in Z490 ... but I'm curious what speed we'll be able to get the fclk up to on Zen 3 desktop.

Virtually all new Zen 2 chips will do 1800 (3600) now. Good ones 1900.

I think another 200-300Mhz is a reasonable assumption.

Imagine if we can do 2200fclk and 4400 CL17, plus all the IPC and cache latency improvements ....

Why can’t there be fast memory dimms without being visually unappealing (trying not to swear here)?

I have a 16GB kit of these (3200 speed) and I love 'em. I've never seen a kit of RAM light up a room before LOL  You know they :pimp: when G.Skill decided to throw in a small polishing cloth. I might add that it's actually a good thing, because they tend to be fingerprint magnets.

I agree about the looks of these, I love them and was eyeing them up to buy for my main system, as I don't game or overclock the speed doesn't really matter.
Now I just have to decide on shiny silver, gold OR Thermaltake Toughram in white.

I have the silver version and WOW! All I can say is, see my avatar there? That's exactly what the silver looks like - polished and mirror-like. I wouldn't doubt it if the gold version is the same, just gold rather than silver.

I've always thought the gold Royals a little too boujee and hard to pair with other components; Asus hasn't done the gold theme on their boards for more than 5 years now. MSI Evoke cards, and that's about it. The Z490 and B550 Taichis look like they could work, though.

But I agree, the silver Royals are gorgeous. I only wish they went with either a professional looking sans serif or the same as the other Trident Zs on the font. If I was on Intel this time around, I would have gone straight for some B-die Royals.

MSI ACE ar least x570 for AMD chips have gold I believe which was designed to go for their Evoke GPU.

GF said "absolutely not" to the gold Royals, said they looked like a velvet Elvis poster hanging in a run-down Las Vegas motel 50feet off the interstate on a hot summer's night, or something to that effect.

Even though the EVGA Z390 Dark has so many gold and copper accents - still went with the Silver Royals, they are gorgeous I must agree.

Not certain why I love this image below so much, either the majestic looking Noctua C14S cooler, or those gorgeous (4600/18 rated) Silver Royals lit up in solid soothing blue, or the super scientific dual post code EVGA alphanumeric display in white lighting measuring 1.373v Vcore. (actually 1.360v in bios - it always adds a bit of voltage, not sure why).

Also tabascosauzbro,

The Mini V2.0 in black arrives today and ordering some custom Vandal switches from e-switch.com. Black instead of silver - swapping out all the silver on the Dimastech black Mini for black parts - 100% Total Black-Out Bench build.

The mobo standoffs and USB 3.0 hub using some black Plasti-Dip in a spray can from the garage, being careful not to cover the threading or motherboard contacts - they will remain stock silver...

And little Sophia loves your new teddy bear. :D

I've got both in a build, and they blend real well together. One thing though, they're fingerprint magnets.

Never ever touch them :p, only buff them lightly with the "included" Trident Z mini-diaper.

When I was putting my rig together, I was seriously considering leaving the little clear sheets on the silver parts because I didn't want to get my prints all over them  In the end though, I just tried to be careful handling them, buffing away smudges as needed

I hear ya :p

Getting my Royal Silvers into position was also difficult, didn't remove the air cooler and have (2) rads mounted to the right in that photo above, took about 30minutes, lol trial and error could only grab each module from one end and guide with single finger from the other end and kept dropping them into that deep trough in between the dimm slots and had to re-apply the CRC electrical contact cleaner a number of times spray-dab-let dry, spray-dab-let dry, sheesh. But I have a 1 in 10 amazing thermal interface TIM and pressure plate seating with the air cooler (also much trial and error) and wasn't about to remove it... Could have simply taken off the rads and had easy access but I always take the hard road.

Still, was able to position each module with only touching the side edges and pushing down into place at the top edges. Didn't touch that beautiful Silver Royal mirror finish even once. Hooray!

Tabascosauz is right, wish Gskill went with a different font, than whatever this is Comic Sans? :ohwell: - otherwise gotta LOVE the Silver Royals. They always match your build - since the mirror image precisely reflects your build lolol.

Actually, rumors have been flying of Gskill launching a Black Chrome Royal variant - which would also look very nice, and blend better with the Noctua black coolers...
