Viotek unveiled the GFI27QXA, a 27-inch gaming monitor with formidable specs. It offers an IPS panel with 4K UHD (3840 x 2160 pixels) resolution, 144 Hz refresh rate, 1 ms response time, and support for VESA Adaptive Sync, AMD FreeSync, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and HDR (limited to 60 Hz). Other specs include maximum brightness of 350 cd/m², 1,000:1 static contrast ratio (with DCR), and 16.7 million color capability. Inputs include two DisplayPort 1.4 and an HDMI 2.0. One of Viotek's claims to fame is its dead-pixel warranty, which offers a replacement for even 1 dead pixel (while other brands require clusters of dead pixels). The monitor is backed by a 3-year warranty and is priced at USD $749 (promotional price).

I believe you can't run 4k 144hz with neither DP1.4 nor HDMI 2.0, at least without no compression.

Man, these are really exciting times for monitors. 1440p 240Hz IPS and 4K 144Hz IPS with GPUs that can actually drive these entering the market this year.. Finally we'll be entering what I consider to be non-compromised territory in gaming.

Is it HDR certified, and what level?
Generic HDR10 or better?

Edit: After some reading it seems this monitor is faux HDR and fails to meet the minimum screen brightness required for even HDR400, the entry point.

Yeah, until we receive another RDR2 disaster forcing 3090 (3080Ti?) and Big Navi to drop on their knees at 1080p. Garbage console ports will always be a compromise, it's just an unavoidable nature of gaming development industry. Just like with each new gen, flagships can output 4K in titles beyond their age, I don't see how that will change.

Monoprice had a 27" 4k 144hz posted under there "Dark Matter" brand at $549, but it was set for stock in August, and now the product page no longer exists sadly.

That's why this is another dual Displayport display.
It's kinda disappointing that LG TVs support HDMI 2.1 for a year now and more expensive monitors (even more than OLEDs with way worse image quality) don't.
