I can't even begin tell you how often I see groups of lil teens together, all talking on their phones to someone else. Teenagers do not need cellphones.

LOL.... Ya working is a little more important... I rack up mine from 1-2 messages a night going to 50+ people, and then various messaging with my friends.

Russianboy is right. Text messages are inane. If it can't be said in three words you're better off speaking to the person.

Only on cell phones though. Text messages on a computer where you have a full sized keyboard is very efficient and it's free.

18 cents per text message. I buy $30 of credit and that generally lasts me about two months or so if I dont make any calls, which if I do my credit would last for alot less.

Phone calls are expensive, what a load of shit that I have to pay 18 cents for every 30 seconds you spend talking. Phone calls should be a flat rate. What a sad world it is that we have to pay a government owned telecom to communicate with others. Its fair enough that you pay bills of electricity and gas per your usage levels, but to communicate? It should be provided as a government service for a minor fee.

As it is I like texting because I can communicate alot more. I prefer not to talk to people over the phone. Generally your only trying to please the person on the other end and be polite and all the other stuff youd rather not have to do to get a point across. Texting means you can send a formal message without the added on bullshit that ends up making it expensive and longer than needed. Phone calls are for close family, girlfriends and contacting places of business only. Using them to talk to friends is relatively pointless.

I use text a lot. It's often quicker just to shoot a quick text to someone, rather than call them. Especially if it's just a simple question you need answered.

It's also much more polite to text in a public place with lots of people. Few things piss me off more at a restaurant, than when somebody in the booth behind or next to me, is gabbing endlessly on their phone. It makes me want to dive across the booth and shove the phone down their throat.

Not only that, I HATE talking on the phone.

Texting is cool. I rarely ever phone someone as the call goes on for like 10 mins vs a txt and a txt back with a response. Yes, that also means I text girls.. god you never want to call a girl, she will gnaw your ear off from the other end with her talking.
