ASUS today announced Mini PC PN50, an ultra-compact computer that delivers powerful performance for a wide variety of home and business applications. Featuring the latest AMD Ryzen 4000 mobile processors with Radeon Vega 7 graphics, and support for high-speed 3200 MHz DDR4 memory, Mini PC PN50 is ready to take on demanding workloads, yet its diminutive size takes up minimal space on a desk and makes it suited for applications where traditional PCs will not fit - from digital signage to home-theater setups.

Mini PC PN50 supports up to 8K resolution at 60 Hz or up to four displays simultaneously, with up to 4K resolution at 60 Hz, providing ultrarealistic visuals. It is also suitable for flexible business scenarios, with configurable port options. Already have a preorder on Amazon.co.uk for the 4800U model, but hopefully it shows up stateside.

Also, the 4800U has Vega 8, not Vega 7.

How does it do HDMI CEC? Can all the Ryzen APUs do that or do they put an extra chip on the Mainboard?

I always hated that there are no GPUs out there that can do CEC. Raspberry Pi can do CEC but not a single 500 Dollar GPU could...

This might not apply to you, but I thought I'd mention it in case it is helpful for others:
For ny Samsung TV that is connected with SmartThings, I use EventGhost to switch the monitor on and off when the events System.Monitor.On and System.Monitor.Off are fired (so the TV acts almost like a PC monitor, and does not get stuck on "no signal" when the HTPC has idled for 10 minutes).

SmartThings has a REST API, so EventGhost launches scripts making calls to that. Have also used the API to allow me to have keyboard shortcuts to switch HDMI input.

Got one of these PN50 4700u and loaded it with 64GB RAM, 1TB NVMe and a 2TB SSD, driving a couple of curved AOC 27" monitors. Loaded Ubuntu 21.04 and almost everything "just works" tm.
The only bit that has caused some wasted time is trying to get the monitors into standby when the screen dims. There is s glitch somewhere in Ubuntu and/or the hardware combo.
I have very cumbersome workaround using ddcutil which can speak to the monitors and turn them on/off/standby etc.
My first foray into Ubuntu / the .deb world, as I normally stick to CentOS (7.9 at present) but it is far too old to deal with this kind of hardware. And CentOS 8, well the less said about that the better.
Wondering if there is anyone else out there running linux on one of these and having better luck with the monitors.
