Total War Saga: Troy to Be Free on Launch Day via EPIC Games Store

Got it, played it a bit, I didn't have one single issue. Also game plays pretty smoothly but it seems not to be a demanding title. Only 25GB drive space??

Ok, so on the 13th we all try and get the game and the servers crash and 24 hours later, we get nothing... GTA5 all over again, but at least there, we had a week.

Good luck to those that get it before the crash
Got mine no problems.

Unless I'm missing something you only need to claim the game. I don't believe you have to download it within the 24 hour window. You basically click a few buttons to "buy" the game.

from all games on epic i only download the one i actually play - never had probs to down it after weeks of claiming-ya even get a receipt for your gratis game.

Correct.

Just have it assigned to your account, you can download later.

No problems at all, by far the smoothest CA/Sega release in a long time. Also the game runs great on my PC

That's what I thought because I actually did it, and thought maybe I was missing something. Looks like yet another instance of people going out of there way to complain about something for no reason.

Yep I’ve been grabbing freebies here and from EGS and don’t even have it installed. GoG Galaxy shows them all “in my library“

Missed it, crap, but I'm busy enough with other things anyway. I did play Rome Total War big time way back so I'm kinda looking at getting back to this one day.
