The entry-level Xbox 360 Core console will also be reduced by £20 ($40) to carry an estimated retail price of £179.99 ($358). Good idea on M$' behalf, just in time for XMAS too ;)

well it is a price cut but id say it inst going to be enough to dent Wii sales, considering the component parts are sourced in Dollars M$ really could give this side of the Atlantic a better price cut.

The pound isnt a 2:1 favorite over the dollar.

Now, on to the news, about time the prices were cut there. Id wager alot of folks over their are contemplating on owning a 360, but the price is ridiculous.

at current it is £1 for $1.986 (xe.com) but a company like M$ would no doubt do currency exchanges themselves cutting out the commission meaning they would not doubt get a higher transfer rate than what the average person would get if they change a few hundred £ or $ at the local foreign exchange, but even at an exchange rate of 1.98 to 1 M$ could really give us this side of the Atlantic a fair price discount.

Eh lucky ppl in US and England getting stuff so cheap xbox elite ONLY 600$ :(
