Japanese PC and Industrial company Nagao Manufacturing Co have recently revealed their "Graphics Card Mirror" which allows you to view the front of your GPU when installed traditionally. The mirror is hand-made in Japan from 2 mm acrylic housed in a black iron base, the mirror angle can be freely adjusted from 0° - 90° to suit your preference. The mirror measures 280 mm long and 110 mm tall and can be mounted to the case via the included magnets or rubber feet. Pricing and international availability were not announced.

That's definitely a simpler, sounder idea than using a vertical mount for your GPU, and this way you can display all the relevant sides.

I can see how this would be useful for GPU manufacturers to show off their cards at PC hardware shows.

Haha at least it will make it easy to spot the fan that doesn't spin :)

Inb4 some newbies buy it with semi-fanless cards, look at it, get scared and start making threads like "HALP! FANS ON MY GRAPHIC CARD NO WORK!"

Totes dust magnet, imagine the cleaning regime needed to keep that looking good (perspectively).

I would find it more useful under my monitor so I can see where to plug stuff in without neck head and back contortions.

For aesthetics, this adds unnecessary weight and also likely something you need to clean. I'm sure this will still sell, but perhaps in a low quantities. Next step, I am not surprised if someone adds RGB around the mirror.

Software yes, lots!
Well, this is useless. But well, there are lots of people out there that buy glass cases, so I guess lots of those are potential customers for these things.

They should have sprung for an RGB frame for that mirror though, if you make something that useless, you could always add some more useless energy consumption and some rare earth minerals by adding LEDs. Kids would love it.

I have vanity builds, they're a scourge on the PC industry.

However, for people that actually like the RGBLED tempered glass madness, this isn't actually a bad idea.

2021's fad will be mirrored RGBLED infinity cases.

You mean hate? Well there was a time when there were no tiers for graphic cards, CPUs, etc., and PC gaming was binary, you either did it or you didn't.
Nowadays, PC hardware pieces are also status symbols, decorative objects, some are even collector pieces, etc., etc.

But you might be onto a good business idea with those mirrored cases :p

Yep, hate.

I didn't mind the RGBLED or tempered glass when it was an option on the market. More choice is good and people like different things.

The problem is that we don't have more choice. The reason I hate vanity builds is because that's all that exists now. stupid form-over-function decorative crap has pushed quality down at any given price point because the budget that was previously put towards material quality, practical features, and innovation is now misspent on glass and LEDs. The RGBLED+TG scourge has all but muscled the non-vanity options out of the market; They still exist at the too-cheap-even-for-tempered-glass price point, but actually desirable stuff is either already extinct or on life-support. All of the nice stuff is RGBLED+TG and it's only really in the last 9 months or so that enthusiasts are pushing back against the glass because cases with TG front panels perform abysmally.

I absolutely agree. This is what mass market does to things. Once we chose our smartphones based on features and quality, now the "average consumer" is the main target so we have shiny glass everywhere, because it looks better on the store shelf and most consumers prefer shiny things to actually good things. Every millennial or genZ child thinks he's a "pr0 gamer" and an enthusiast, but since choosing things based on quality actually requires you to know a thing or two, they go with "more prettier is more better" approach, and manufacturers capitalize on that. Just yesterday I bought new RAM. Try buying RAM and not having to pay for the useless RGB which you have to disconnect before you can use the damn memory and not have your computer light up like a cheap toy.

I'm fairly sure one can sell pieces of fecal material shaped like RAM sticks and some people will buy it as long as the RGB is sufficiently bright and colorful.

I currently have a handheld mirror sitting in the bottom of one of my PC cases, that I've been using for testing used graphics cards that I bought from eBay, so I can see how this could be handy.
