OCZ Technology Group today announced the PC2-6400 Reaper HPC CL3 series, the latest edition to the highly-awarded OCZ Reaper HPC (Heat Pipe Conduit) product family. The newest Reaper series is engineered to produce significant performance gains on the latest NVIDIA nForce platforms by implementing Enhanced Performance Profiles (EPP) and allowing the memory to operate at a stable 800MHz at CL3 upon start-up. With a proven performance design now coupled with the blazing latencies enthusiasts crave, the PC2-6400 Reaper CL3 series provides rock-solid stability and performance at an attainable price for all budgets.

The Reaper HPC is an innovative cooling solution developed by OCZ to effectively minimize heat produced by high-speed memory. As heat rises into the thermo-conductive copper heat pipe conduit, it is dissipated through the strategically-placed compact aluminum fin array. By guiding performance-robbing heat away from key memory components, the unique Reaper HPC design helps facilitate improved overclocking performance, while improving longevity and stability of the modules.

"More and more gamers are looking for 800MHz DDR2 modules with tight timings and plug and play functionality to maximize performance in the latest games," said Alex Mei, Chief Marketing Officer, OCZ Technology Group. "OCZ's newest 800MHz Reaper modules not only offer excellent performance for gaming and benchmarking, but also makes use of the advanced Reaper heat pipe conduit heatspreaders, which allow for safer overclocking and greater stability of the modules over the long term. The Enhanced Performance Profiles feature is beneficial for consumers who want the performance benefits of an overclocked system on SLI certified systems."

With the goal of maximized tweaking and overclocking for gaming systems, the latest PC2-6400 Reaper modules were integrated with an EPP programmed SPD to immediately boot at the correct settings to produce blistering 3-4-4 timings on 680i motherboards. This feature provides a true "Plug and Play" overclocking feature that eliminates the need for manual configuration and makes memory optimizations a household item for the complete range of consumers looking to maximize system performance and gaming experience.

The PC2-6400 Reaper HPC CAS 3 modules will be available in 2GB (2x1024MB) dual channel kits. As part of OCZ's line-up of premium memory, the PC2-6400 CL3 series is backed by a Lifetime Warranty and industry-leading technical support. Harnessing the performance of high speeds, low latency, and leading-edge heat dissipation, the unparalleled design of the OCZ PC2-6400 Reaper HPC CL3 is a complete, all-encompassing solution for enthusiasts.

lol, too bad my cooler is in the way

oh man that is some nice ram... i want some...

Any word on prices yet...

Well I really don't see the point of buying those if they only do 3-4-4-9 @ DDR2-800. Most Cell Shock CL4 mem both 800 and 1000 MHz variants do DDR2-800 at 3-3-3-(6-9). At least that's what I found my memory capable of plus I read some reviews of the "smaller" brother and they perform equally well. Of course they lack the EPP SPD, but to be honest who needs it ? I mean these mem modules are aimed at hardcore overclockers I bet most of oyu guys know how to tweak and setup RAM timmings correctly. Or maybe I misunderstood the general idea behind EPP.

ONLY? My memory is at this very moment 226.7 MHz 4-4-4-12 1T.

ONLY? My memory is at this very moment 226.7 MHz 4-4-4-12 1T.
But it could be at 4-4-4-12 2T 800ish MHz. lol

Mine is at 333MHz @ 3-4-4-8 2T but they should be stock 266MHz @ 4-4-4-12 2T

thAts some nice latencies right there. Though the cooling solution is a bit awkward still...

who knew memory chip could get so hot.

ive just bought some of that ram,it does have D9GMH chips on it too.
