AMD Wins Contract for European LUMI Supercomputer: 552 petaflop/s Powered by Epyc, AMD Instinct

serious about what?
About what we are talking about? Intel being an underdog or dead in few years... Cause cant be both. Or could be neither... who is to say for sure.

Intel is the underdog now, not in a few years, now ( assuming the new Pass Mark scores are validated, Link).

Could be.. I think it will take a lot more than losing 1 round of CPU gen.
But please, lets be clear that its not dead and probably will not die! Some people are getting to emotional about Intel's potential claimed death.

I personally am on AMD ship, more than 15 years ago, but I want Intel to continue to produce competitiveness with products against AMD now that allegedly is claiming perf crown once again.

Intel wont die, they are still in recovery mode with the 7/10nm disaster.

lol they still make more money than AMD, and like it or not, if a company is still making money, as in profit, how can they fold?

Imo they are licking their wounds in regard to Ryzen. I think it came as a bit of a surprise to Intel, who thought they could just carry on with the way things were. I am glad AMD recovered and got ryzen out, as it has given Intel a kick up the bum.

Even if they lose out a bit in the consumer market, I am sure they make enough cash in other ventures to keep them going till they sort out their shit with desktop cpus
