Have you validate those scores? The single score is looking impressive for a 3800X.

Just an AIO with an open air case. Ryujin 360 and Thermaltake Core P3.

No actually, as the author of CPU-Z changed his benchmark when 2nd gen Ryzen came out and started to threaten Intel in his benchmark by scoring slightly higher. So he quickly released a new version, with the Ryzen CPU's scores lowered. Many said at the time that the change was due to pressure from Intel. That question was never answered, but the gimp towards Ryzen certainly remained in the benchmark.

So it is a big thing, because the new CPU's also have to work hard to get past the "gimp" in the benchmark before they can even begin to score higher than an Intel CPU.

And the fact that were are all here responding to this, means that this benchmark still carries weight, even if it shouldn't.

That is a nice score your all core clock speed of 4373 is higher than i've seen for most of these chips are you running a static overclock or this is just stock with PBO on?

PBO on + FMAX. The real difference is FMAX boosted all core clocks by about 150mhz compared to just PBO.

I have PBO on + FMAX on aswell but I don't see the all core clocks boosting that high.

The description for FMAX at the bottom says its boost single threaded workloads.

Wait what is this thing, I know of the EDC=1 tweak but what the hell is this FMax tweak? Can anyone explain how it works?

Keep in mind that the test is also with "slow" 3600MHz module with rubbish latencies.

Comparison to a 3950, same memory speed, tighter latencies.

i'm on the fence currently for 5800X or 5900X since the price difference is only $100.

I may go with the 2 CCX chip in 5900X this time around if I see there are not latency differences between the two.
