Wait for It: Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed to December 10th

Entitlement generation much? Wow. Sad, but the stench surrounded you already.

Seriously... the gist of this topic is of an even lower level than the 'oh noes they scalped "my" 3080' episode... Can't we do better?

Still salty huh kiddy  .
Yes people are entitled to promised release date, and I have no clue scalping 3080 has got anything related to this, perhaps you are as confused as always.
3080/3090 stocks in my country is aplenty btw, nothing to salty about.

I can excuse a friend who punched me in the arm so I should excuse a stranger who commits genocide is what you're saying yeah?

So many petulent children here, if you're that mad just cancel your pre-order and play something else. Neither you nor CDPR owe one another anything. If you can't deal with another delay, don't buy the game, vote with your dollar.

I know CDPR doesn't owe me anything and it also doesn't owe anything to you, so you can stop defending them, but it's this same post they made a day earlier that makes it somewhat untrustworthy of them.

Now i like CDPR games, they have some of my favorite games, but that doesn't mean i have to like all their actions and that comparison of "friends" to games is such a disparity.
Both games are not out yet. So they can postpone even longer.

Please be more constructive on your thoughts.

I'm happy if you're happy, you know. Glad you're happy.

"Works on my machine" the post
My small East Europe country had 1(ONE) 3090 for sale, at 2600EUR, 80% over 1400EUR retail price. Not a scalper, a respectable shop. Eventually someone bought it, so now my whole country has 0(ZERO) 3090s.
Also, lmao at people getting hyped for Cyberpunk. It looked bad from the first non-CGI trailer and looks worse with every new bit of information. To me Cyberpunk 2077 is as much value as Mass Effect Andromeda, a source of entertainment about funny glitches compilation on youtube.

wow, there's already glitch compilation of cyberpunk 2077 on youtube ? is it as bad as assasin's creed and mass effect ?

So how can you blame them for not respecting your personal schedule?
Because he is entitled, self-absorbed and completely broken with reality.

I'm sure he also told his dad about it, and they'll see.

You are ENTITLED to NOTHING. Grow the hell up.

This is what happens when we pre-order games. I have learned my lesson.

Nah it happened for those who didn't pre-order as well

But in a general sense, yes. Pre orders are bad :)

I'm entitled to voice my opinion while you are not entitled to tell people what to do my good sir.

Personal attacks will earn posting vacations. Stick to the topic, and be civil. If you can't give your honest opinion without being civil, you won't do it in this thread at all.

Nah, a lot of people specifically requested time off work on Nov 19th just got burned. CDPR PR team just responded to a guy on twitter just yesterday that there won't be another delay .

People schedule work off around game launches?

Bahahahahahahahah

Yeah I've seen it before, on lots of MMO beta forums. Including the inevitable delay and response to the delay. If you know your MMO crowds... nuff said. I'm pretty amazed at grown men/women still doing it tbh. I mean, sure... when you're 16. Some things do or should change over time, I think.

In much the same vein... the way people look at product releases is mind blowing sometimes, even beyond release dates... the power of commerce and human brain is really interesting to see. People are indeed at liberty to do as they please... and other people are at liberty to laugh at them. Its a normal social dynamic and it keeps us on the right path in a general sense. The idea that 'this can't be said because it's my own choice' is odd, and yet another component of entitlement.

Just check the widely acknowledged work of Simon Sinek (The Golden Circle etc..), people are not showing for the game...they are showing for themselves. Because they want to be first. Тhey want to be the early adopters even though bugs are not explored and reviews and buying analysis (?) is not yet out on the Tube. It speaks about their inner perception of what they think they are and who they want to be.

Simping for CDPR all you like but this is all about being on time. Everyone is not only expecting Cyberpunk2077 to be polished but also on time.
This is the 3rd time CDPR has broken their promise, breaking all the trust of their fanbase.
Now the fans are not allowed to voice their frustration because CDPR is not keeping their promises ? what kinda logic is that.

Haven’t schedule time off but i have waited in line and stayed up until 4AM on a workday to play the release of WOTLK.

Gold means essentially ready for release.
Gold
When a game reaches Gold it’s considered a shippable experience. Games at this level will be ready to release and pass all of the following exit criteria.

  • This release is feature complete with high polish
  • All UIs are complete
  • All voiceovers match the script
  • All new players can play without external guidance
  • No A, B, C and very few D and E defects
  • All sound effects and voice overs are levelled
  • There is a sufficient variety of sound effects and music to prevent noticeable/distracting repetition for the target playtime
  • The game runs at the target framerate in all tested scenarios
Guessing they don't want to release it to PC first. Maybe sony and microsoft back handers are pretty big :p
This phrase is not an exact definition, gold-state is different for every company. They just call it that for the marketing side of things. They can call it PLATINUM-state for all I care, the fact is that it's not released.

I haven't waited in line but who hasn't stayed up all hours of the night playing a game when it came out. Basically tradition.

They already stated it had gone gold, so i guess they just won't release it till all platform versions are ready at the same time.
That's not a bad idea or bad business plan. I'd rather have one last 21day delay than have a game with unfixed bugs.

In my opinion, CDPR is more inclined to lock down a solid build before release than many of the groups out there, and I'm totally ok with that. I'd been looking forward to this for a long time, but I'm with you; if they're delaying to fix some stuff, I believe it's a necessary delay.

That's my impression as well.

Same.

They started talking about this game several years ago at a trade show(I think E3?) and I've been itching for it since. I look at it this way: We've waited this long, what's 3 more weeks?

EDIT;
For comparison, Shall we remind ourselves of Fallout76? It's ok now, but it was a mess at launch. It'd be infinitely better not to go that route and CDPR knows that. Delay's are better than disasters!

Some facts about CDPR, and polish electronical market.
CDPR is the biggest game developer in Europe and 6th of all polish companies. Additionally 7 out of 10 polish biggest companies belong to hitech market (and 3 of them are purelly in programing/development part of the hitech market).
Polish banks are the most digitalised in Europe, and the most innovative also.
80% of official stuff and duties can be done online.
We are not chasing anymore. We will see, in next 5-10 years if the road we chose is the right one...

Nothing to do with with fanboying "kind" sir, and pointing out the obvious isn't hard work at all.

I haven't owned AMD/ATI in over a decade.

I can shit on companies and own their products, there's no confusion in my mind.

CDPR took the "leather jacket" money to implement his crap, instead of just focusing on their game and how it will look and perform across all those very different platforms.

CDPR is beholden to its customers, and that includes whether you like it or not AMD gamers.

9 version of the game, RTX on Geforce but no RTRT on Radeon or the consoles for which RTRT is big marketing buz.

History is rich of evidence that the primiry mission of GameWrecks is to hurt the "leather jacket" competition.

Companies that take his money does disservice to their costumers especially to those that does not use the "leather jacket" products.

Bottom line is this.

GameWrecks™. It's On.

I hope that helps.

Good day.

Cool story. Still completely OT though.
