MSI Registers Eight Custom Models for GeForce RTX 3060 Ti with the EEC

My only question is what's the f-ing point of releasing multiple SKUs when the only difference between em is slightly improved cooling and boost clocks? Just make couple variations, one with 3 fan and other - 2 fan solutions and leave untouched clocks headroom for enthusiasts to tinker even more.

Low-profile, please!

They want to have enough cards so they can scalp them on ebay !! Had a bad experience with Msi KT3 ultra 2 board back int the Athlon Days then had a Pentium 4 Northwood board die on me ! Both times there CS was horrible, I vowed from them to never touch them again . Fast forward 20 years later still don't own any of there products except a monitor and my boycott continues !! Won't tough a single card !

Here starts from 850, but pretty fast goes to 1000. 3080 starts from 1200 and goes up to 1600, hahaha. 3090 goes for 3000... prices are...

Looks like I will not buy 3070 or 3080 because of high prices. Same thing will happen with amd...

I guess will need to survive 1 or 2 years without pc.

3070 starts from $1367 here. $1149 + VAT. Anything cheaper is not in stock. And 3080s and 3090s are not in stock at all.

Hahahaha in south africa we have plenty of stock available, but due to our tax rates and import duties we get ebay level prices

No, that isn't the reason why they are that highly-priced here, if you look at the previous generations, those prices are more or less at the MSRP, they too are around the $400-$500 mark. This is simply greed, that is what is going on here. It's as you say, there is a lot of stock but people like me won't be done in because they are greedy, I am not paying $1000 for a $500 card, they can all go screw themselves. If they don't lower it, I will import it myself, it will come near enough to the MSRP for me.

I have been looking at their web pages for weeks now, hoping saner minds will prevail, but apparently not. They even have to gall to ask $550 for a $300 CPU (Ryzen 5600X)
