about 20 bucks, looks like any generic laptop power brick with the correct rating would work.

I love this class of 1L mini pcs, they make amazing little terminals for all kinds of stuff. I've used them for some more demanding digital signage and they make great HTPC front ends. There's a great series on using these systems for home labs and server deployments. It's Project TinyMiniMicro at Serve The Home, and well worth a look at why this form factor is just brilliant. Most of it is intel based and spanning the whole range of sub 65w TDP desktop cpus, xeons, and embedded low tdp xeon stuff. Most of the AMD stuff so far has been older bulldozer era AMD A6/A8 but a few ryzen AM4 systems exist. This class of ryzen u series is going to be great!

kind of ironic that this has almost twice the front IO vs 90% of standalone cases... even up to ATX/XL. Shame it doesn't have a DP out the back though!

The VGA port is for industrial applications which will be, and is always, a big customer for devices of this type

It doesn't look like it's an Alt-Mode USB-C port. It's also on the front of the case, so I think that makes it a bit more unlikely. If they had a USB-C port in back with alt mode or TB3 or something, then it would be a pretty snazzy looking mini PC. The VGA port is a waste of space, but I can see it being useful or businesses that might already have projector setups that use VGA, not that I think it's a good reason for having it.

Multi monitor setup. I find it very hard to work on a single monitor, unless it's a really big one - 43" 3840x2160 I use at home is fine, but a single 2560x1440 has a working area which is too small for me. In this case you can do multi monitor, but with D-sub being limited to 1920x1080 it's a poor setup especially if you consider the sub optimal quality of analogue video and the fact that more and more new monitors don't even have d-sub inputs.

Hello ASsRok, this is 1999 calling, and we want all our VGA connectors, cables, monitors & switches back, like, yesterday !!!!!!!

These are aimed at digital signage, office PCs, industrial applications, and HTPC, which VGA is far more common in than DP.

the VGA is an odd one but maybe the intended audience includes replacing large legacy hardware with something modern and warranty-able. This 1L class segment is so large an oem could easily have 1 large multinational corporate client in mind that uses VGA+USB touch screens. And those touch screen terminals have decades of life left if the pc behind it can be replaced.

Or VGA projectors in areas that will have no budget to upgrade their projectors this decade but will benefit from modern computing hardware behind it.

If end users like us on the cutting edge of living room SFF computing were the target it would really have to have DP and HDMI as the display options. And we'd want thunderbolt and 2.5 or 5gb ethernet and stuff thats really exciting. We'd be aruging about if the IGP being capable of 120hz gaming was possible in any old game...maybe csgo? That kinda stuff.. So I think this is cool but ASRock isnt making this for us. ASRock wants us to look at the A300 mini pc cause thats really where new ryzen apus are going to be cool.
