For 75 years, JBL has been at the heart of the entertainment scene, from powering sound at major pop culture events to partnering with some of the world's top talent across music, sports and esports. As the number one leader in portable speaker sales and the fastest growing headphones brand worldwide, this year marks an epic 75th anniversary for the brand, with multiple new JBL products announced today designed to enhance everyday experiences.

Since its inception, JBL has expertly blended a bold vision of the future with the passion and talent of engineers and designers around the globe. From day one, JBL has built its legacy based on a passion, energy, and love of sound. No matter how consumers listen to or how they listen to it, it is JBL's mission to make sure they love every minute.

"For 75 years, JBL has been the global pioneer at the heart of the entertainment scene. JBL loudspeakers power the sound at more than half of the world's movie theaters, sports stadiums and music venues," said Ralph Santana, Chief Marketing Officer at HARMAN. "JBL has continued to explore new frontiers of technology and breakthrough innovation in product development and we are thrilled to kick off our 75th year by revealing exciting new products across headphones, portables, and home and luxury audio."

Among the new products announced today, JBL true wireless headphones continue to be a primary focus, with multiple new models launching this year to cater to all lifestyles. Beyond expanding popular lineups to include true wireless options, JBL also launched a brand-new series, JBL Tour featuring the most technologically advanced true wireless option. Whether working out, climbing a mountain or taking marathon conference calls, JBL's new true wireless headphone expanded portfolio has something for every lifestyle. The newest additions are the JBL Tour Pro+, JBL LIVE Pro+, JBL LIVE FREE NC+ and JBL Reflect Mini NC TWS. All four models are equipped with either Active or Adaptive Noise Cancelling and Dual Connect technology for seamlessly enjoying music or making calls with either one or both buds, as well as built-in voice assistants.

Each of the four new JBL true wireless headphones have also been selected "Best of Innovation Honorees" of the prestigious CES 2021 Innovation Awards. The CES Innovation Awards program, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), is an annual competition honoring outstanding design and engineering in consumer technology products across 28 product categories.

JBL is also expanding its on-ear and over-ear headphones, with five new options launching this year. These include the JBL Tour ONE, which is part of JBL's brand new Tour Series launch and was also named a CES 2021 Innovation Awards "Best of Innovation Honoree". Designed for business professionals, the Tour Series offers advanced technology like True Adaptive Noise Cancellation, which monitors environmental sound 50,000 times per second and adapts to the perfect level of noise cancellation for the user's environment. The technology also compensates for sound leakage caused by factors such as eyeglasses, hair or head movement. Additional launches include the JBL LIVE 660NC, JBL LIVE 440NC, JBL TUNE 660NC and JBL TUNE 510BT.

In portable audio, JBL is adding the JBL Charge 5 to its popular Charge Series. This portable speaker comes with a reengineered long excursion driver, separate tweeter and dual passive radiators for impressive audio clarity and a deep bass with 20 hours of playtime and a built-in powerbank. Additionally, Harman Kardon expands its iconic portable series with the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 7. This uniquely designed speaker is enhanced with two 25mm dual tweeters for true stereo sound, combined with powerful bass and a Built-in Li-on rechargeable battery that provides 8 hours of playtime.

For home audio, the JBL Bar 5.0 Multibeam is the newest soundbar to join the JBL Bar Series. The JBL Bar 5.0 Multibeam is upgraded to deliver an incredibly spacious 3D surround sound experience with the first-ever Virtual Dolby Atmos and JBL's proprietary beamforming technology - MultiBeam.

In luxury audio, three new products were announced, including two loudspeakers and an amplifier. Six new JBL Synthesis loudspeakers were announced, including in-wall, built-in and in-ceiling units for JBL Synthesis home entertainment systems, expanding its signature SCL loudspeaker and SSW subwoofer ranges. The new L100 Classic 75 loudspeaker features the iconic, 1970's-style retro JBL L100 Classic design, including an iconic black Quadrex foam grille and exquisite teak wood veneer cabinets. With only 750 pairs of this historic product available, the exclusive loudspeaker features a unique signed rear-badge and Certificate of Authenticity to commemorate the anniversary. The JBL SA750 Integrated Amplifier features an iconic retro-inspired milled aluminum face panel with luxurious volume, balance and input dials and hefty switches for power, mute, direct, MC/MM phono, and Dirac Live room calibration. The face panel includes a 3.5mm Aux input and 3.5mm Headphones output, plus a 2-line orange LED screen. The look is completed by classic teak-wood veneer side panels to match the new anniversary edition JBL L100 Classic 75 loudspeakers.

I hope they beefed up the sound in Charge 5 compared to C4, cause the latter got it's ass all beaten up by Anker Soundcore Motion+.

Also - still waiting for Flip 6. Charge is to big for some uses.

I have Charge 2+ and was impressed by its sound, even measured its frequency response which turned out to be 70-15000Hz (+/- 5dB), which was better than I expected.

But I've used it like 5 times ever.

Ive done festivals with a Charge and a small array of pocket solar panels on usb and it fed 3 phones, while doing several hours per day of music for three days plus.
