SteamDB has recently received a leaked email to Steam partners confirming the dates for Steam's next sale. The Steam Lunar New Year Sale 2021 will take place from February 11th to February 15th. Steam regularly sends out emails like this to their developers so that they can prepare for upcoming sales. These emails aren't supposed to be made public. Steam will also be having a Game Festival early next month before the Lunar New Year Sale where they will be releasing free demos for upcoming titles and highlighting indie games.

I hope they do the Lunar sale style they did few years ago. Buy $30 worth of games and get $5 discoubt from steam. In my region it was roughly spend $15 to get $2.5 savings but it was enough to cover for another extra game. That was a good deal.

It's not like 3 or 4 years ago that we got excellent steam discounts, now its the same discount every sale.
You look at Monster Hunter World and never dropped 19.79€ for more than a year now.

And now you got so many retailers offering cheaper prices on games(stolen or not) and they can improve prices but steam isn't doing anything to counteract.
I lost faith on steam sales.

Is that not the same deal? Just do it twice.

"Don't look at him too long honey, its the budget-bin-bum"

Also... 'a leak' for a god damn sale? Suuuuure they really didn't do this for more exposure.

Iirc it was one time purchase only. You buy whatever amount as long as it's over $30, you get $5 discounted (paid to the devs by Valve). Worthless to developed country markets since games are usually $60 anyway. But I liked it since games are very cheap in my region.

I dont recall the last game I paid full price for. I just put them in my wish list and get notification when there is a sales. I would buy the good deals.
