It seems that Mini-ITX lovers will finally be able to get their due Ampere injection to their HPC or small form factor systems. MSI, Palit and Gainward have announced Mini-ITX versions of NVIDIA's RTX 3060 graphics card, enabling higher performance (especially in RTX workloads) than last generation's mainstream RTX 2060 graphics cards. MSI's Aero ITX will be available in base and OC variants, and there's currently no confirmation on how many power connectors are built into those cards (though a standard 8-pin would suffice).

As for Palit and Gainward, they've introduced the RTX 3060 StormX and RTX 3060 Pegasus, respectively, with both iterations following NVIDIA's reference TGP and power connector configuration (1x 8-pin). Both cards feature NVIDIA's base clockspeeds of 1,320 MHz base and 1,777 MHz boost. All three of the cards feature a single-fan, dual-slot cooler design, and NVIDIA's reference outputs at 3x DisplayPort and 1x HDMI 2.1. All of them feature NVIDIA's GA106-300 chip, which counts with 3,584 CUDA cores, 112 TMUs and 64 ROPs, with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory ticking at 15 Gbps over a 192-bit bus. No information on pricing was available at time of writing.

On the same breath, expect PNY and any other vendor who OEMs Palit to have one. Gainward just happen to be a Palit subsidiary

479eur at first?

Yet another video card that will be unavailable in the retail channel, price hiked by the manufacturer and further over priced to the rafters on ebay and the like by scalpers,.....

I feel any potential buyer for these sorts of RTX 3060 with single fan and mini cooler should wait for reviews before taking the plunge. Considering that this is a 170W card, I am not convinced that the cooler is going to provide sufficient cooling.

I feel the stock situation may not be as bad with a card of this level. The chip itself is smaller than the GA102 and 104, so supply should be significantly better. As for manufacturer price increase, that unfortunately is here to stay.
