NVIDIA Expands GeForce NOW Game Streaming Service to Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Australia

NVIDIA has today announced the expansion of its GeForce NOW game streaming service to Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. The company has worked closely with telecommunication providers to ensure that the streaming service is working well and now they can deliver even more gamers a chance to play their favorite games in the cloud. NVIDIA stated that: "It also offers an opportunity for the world's leading telecommunications firms to deliver high-quality, low-latency PC gaming to nearly any device from the cloud. These partners form the GeForce NOW Alliance, a partnership of operators using RTX Servers and NVIDIA cloud-gaming software to expand and improve cloud gaming globally."

As a reminder, the GeForce NOW is a game streaming service that "brings real-time raytracing to today's biggest blockbusters to underpowered PCs, Macs, Chromebooks, Android and iOS devices." You can access a wide range of games from almost any device and play as much as you like.

I've actually been watching one particular streamer playing Death Stranding through GeForce Now. Apparently he loves the service, and on my end I can't really see anything bad. Sure it's not as great as running the game locally, but it's not terrible either... especially when you can decide to either pay $700 for a midrange graphics card, or stick your thumb up your ass and call it a day.

Sure it's not as great as running the game locally, but it's not terrible either... especially when you can decide to either pay $700 for a midrange graphics card, or stick your thumb up your ass and call it a day.

When you have to pay for the service on top of the game, "it's not terrible" doesn't cut it for everyone

He said he spent $25 for 6 months. For sure, I've been critical of the service myself, but spending $25 to run games for 6 months at top notch details sounds pretty damn good right now when you can't even find anything from the current generation, or even the previous two generations of graphics cards from either camp in stock anywhere, unless you want to pay inflated scalper prices. If I didn't already have a halfways decent graphics card, I'd rather spend $400 on a 3060Ti than stream the game, but good luck finding one...
