Here are some of the first pictures of the Sapphire Radeon RX 6900 XT TOXIC, the company's [hopefully] flagship RX 6900 XT product, until it decides to revive even the "Atomic" brand. This features a hybrid liquid+air cooling solution not unlike the ASUS ROG STRIX RX 6900 XT LC. An all-in-one, closed-loop, liquid cooler pulls heat from the GPU and memory, while a fan-heatsink with a noise-optimized fan handles ancillaries such as the VRM.

The AIO CLC part of the card is characterized by a large 360 mm x 120 mm radiator, with a trio of ARGB illuminated 120 mm fans included. Nylon-sleeved tubing connects it to the card. On the card's side, we see ARGB embellishments along the 100 mm fan, and the cooler shroud. The card draws power from a trio of power connectors, and VideoCardz reports that this could be a combination of two 8-pin and one 6-pin. We can also spot a dual-BIOS switch. The clock speeds of the card are still unknown, we expect it to be higher than the air-cooled NITRO+ cards.

Update 21:26 UTC: The card is now listed at Newegg for $1640, with an availability date of Feb 17th.

Need to see more pictures but that is how you do a proper AIO with sleeved cables so it doesn't look like a mess errrr ASUS!

Surprised they went 360mm I hope they release a 6800XT model with a 240mm or 280mm.

Sadly, you've a better chance of being struck by lightning than actually be able to buy one of these for months after release.
 
Sexy, but the 1st gen RTRT and lack of DLSS kind of kills it for me.

Good on AMD reaching parity in rasterisation though!

Now I see why they slapped a 360mm this detail is missing from the report here.

This GPU has a Max Power draw of 450 Watts which is 150 watts above reference.

Actually these big AIO cards tends to be the only cards that are somewhat available. Since they take up excess space for miners and don't tend to mine any faster than basic models.

Id rather a card just come with a waterblock so I can integrate it into a custom loop.
 
With that massive radiator they should ditch VRM fans altogether.
 
This should really have QDCs on one of the tubes to extend into a full loop. A 360 for any GPU is complete and utter overkill (unless the fans are garbage).

I wonder what is the point of these cards, when amd puts limits in the core frequency

Why? There is a whole market dedicated to waterblocks so you can pick and choose exactly what you desire. This card is for individuals who would like the entire setup to be preconfigured and come with a warranty.
 
I have a similar solution which I love and hate at the same time. It's the EVGA 1080 Hybrid.
  • Love: ultra low temperatures even in a poorly ventilated case (+10 to +15ºC above ambient when gaming), never hits above 50ºC even when it's damn hot in the summer.
  • Hate: after I spent tons of money on overkill silent fans, I can still clearly hear my PC working because of the pump noise. No problem if I only game on this PC but I also use it for sound and video editing and recording. My old EVGA GTX960 SSC had the much loved "idle fan stop" feature and run dead silent even in some games.

Because an AIO like this, unless expandable, is going to be a tight fit in a good chunk of cases.

Warranty is a non-issue. Most vendors won't have any clue if you just put the stock cooler back on before sending in for RMA, unless there's some clear evidence of water damage. And cards that have a waterblock already on them are covered by Warranty like any other card that vendor offers.

Thing is, press shots of asus lc cards also showed no additional cables.
 
Nice too bad the RX 6900 XT is soo expensive :(

I saw that and I bet the waterblock only covers the GPU, maybe the VRM but not the memory?

GPUs are dead easy to cool thanks to direct die cooling and a heat load distributed across the die rather than concentrated into small hotspots like a CPU. Given that the included (admittedly thick, but still) 120mm rad on my Fury X (275W) kept it at 55C or below, I see no reason why a 450W GPU would need 3x the radiator size from that.

without seeing the pcb layout, we're stuck with guessing, for now.
 
There are pretty much no AIO GPUs with proper full-cover blocks - that would require some engineering effort to figure out where to fit the pump rather than just buying an off-the-shelf solution, so it's more expensive. Some exceptions exist, but they are few and far between. So the fan is 99% sure for VRM cooling (and possibly supplementary VRAM cooling).
