Noctua Teases Upcoming Budget Redux CPU Cooler

Noctua is preparing to launch their first Redux CPU cooler in the coming weeks targeting price-conscious consumers who still want a quality cooling solution. Noctua describes their upcoming Redux product as a 'proven CPU cooler, reduced to the essentials' which indicates the design will be similar to an existing product such as the NH-U12. The new cooler will ship with Grey Redux fans for an industrial look, moving away from the signature brown and beige fans. This new cooler will compete with the likes of Cooler Master's Hyper 212 lineup however exact pricing and availability are currently unknown.

With grey fans they will be more compatible with systems interior and will cost less. I bet they will be the best option in the market without any silly rgb, just pure cooling performance

The NH-U12 should already have been the budget cooler, as it is at the level of 30€ to 40€ options from other brands.
Also, isn't the color scheme on the photo the one typically used by Thermalright?

isnt Noctua the provider of fans for Termalright?

I hope they offer the cooler without a fan, with a price w/o a fan. I have a bunch of spare fans I could use and save myself $20.

If it was a regular Noctua cooler I would agree. The Redux fans cannot compete with the brown ones you get on their traditional coolers. I was completely blown away by the performance of the fans of the Noctua coolers. I just installed a U12 Tr4 and i could not even hear the fans spinning to confirm that the computer was on.

Yes they make good coolers. I had an old NH-U12P that came with a 1300rpm noctua coloured fan, very good, however I could hear it at full rpm, so I swapped it out for a 900rpm scythe fan. The old NH-C12P SE14 still has the noctua fan is came with no complaints. Just saying though if you already have a fan, stand alone cooler could save you $20.

My NH-D15S fan is inaudible. Inaudible.

I set it to have 70% max RPM and that makes it even quieter. I have to place my ear against the top of my PC and listen very closely to even hear it.

Glad I live in Austria, Noctua's homeland.

This was not the first for me my TR14 is the only cooler i know that could beat most AIOs for TR4. That has a 140MM fan but I was surprised that a 120MM fan was so quiet.

I'd say no, and I've never seen much of a resemblance between the two (besides fans being similar in general). Where did you hear that?

Thermalright fans are usually very good and as silent, if not more, than Noctua's, but people just swoon for the latter's (as you can see some posts above).

Noctua is very competent when it comes to heatsink, the NH12A is an absolute beast for it's size. If you look at the noise/performance of their fans, you'll find a fair amount of brands that can match them for a lower price sometimes, but the premium of their fans comes from the longer lifespan (the NF-F12 will last twice as long as a bequiet Pure wings 2) and the bundle (low noise adapter, splitter, rubber mounts/ fixation sytem).

I think that this is why the NH-U12S is still quite expensive relative to the Hyper 212 or the Purerock 2, a better bundle along with the better support for new sockets.

LOL budget and Noctua don't go in the same sentence. I've always owned Noctua but the last few years prices are through the roof in Australia, so I went Dark Rock Pro 4 this time and it was a lot cheaper than the NH-D15 Chriomax.

Don't care what price Noctua sells their products at, spent $100 on my NH-D15 and it'll outlast pretty much every AIO. Would have gone Dark Rock Pro 4 (especially because of my be quiet! Case), but the fan clips on it and installation process make me wanna vomit. SecuFirm ftw.

SecuFirm is definitely the gold standard as far as mounting is concerned. Don't think I've ever had a bloody knuckle when installing my D14, as opposed to installing a Hyper 212 which is similar to being in a Saw movie...
