NVIDIA today released the latest version of GeForce drivers. Version 461.72 WHQL introduces support for the new GeForce RTX 3060 graphics card, and adds optimization for "Outriders" demo. In addition DLSS support is added for "Nioh 2 - The Complete Edition" and "Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord." NVIDIA Reflex support is added for "Rainbow Six Siege." Among the issues fixed are stuttering noticed with "Hitman 2" and "Edge of Eternity" with G-SYNC enabled and in windowed mode; a performance drop noticed in Vulkan apps when switching between windowed and fullscreen modes with G-SYNC enabled; an application crash for "X4: Foundations" with Windows 10 1803; a legacy bug with Blu-ray playback flickering with HDMI display output; Chrome and Edge experiencing random TDR on "Ampere" graphics cards; and LG CX OLED TVs not being recognized as being G-SYNC capable.

Might help if the new driver is actually at end of the link...

Isn't this the release that BAR support was going to be added?

I've quickly looked around, nobody seems to have tested BAR with it...

They mentioned two of the mining cards, that must mean they're planning to release them very soon

ComputerBase says that the 3060 is the first Nvidia card to feature rBAR, the others will follow in march

KitGuru have included some results on their Gigabyte 3060 Gaming OC review:

https://www.kitguru.net/components/...dia-rtx-3060-review-ft-gigabyte-gaming-oc/24/

It's driver whitelisted to support the feature on games where there is no negative impact, but reportedly functions on all platforms as long as they offer a BIOS option. For right now, with the titles tested, there is essentially no difference in performance.

Super lame:
Late March, NVIDIA will release downloadable VBIOS updates for all Founders Edition GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs to enable Resizable BAR, and likewise, partners will release VBIOS updates for their custom models, too.

Added support for the following GPUs.
  • NVIDIA CMP 40HX
  • NVIDIA CMP 30HX

NVIDIA_DEV.1F0B = “NVIDIA CMP 40HX”
NVIDIA_DEV.2189 = “NVIDIA CMP 30HX”

These CMP appear to be some GTX 1650 w/o video ports …

Timeout Detection and Recovery ... when the hardware is deemed to not be responding. It's that black flash you see when the GPU resets. Often GPU failure, but can have other root causes (cpu, ram, buggy driver)

Heh, the WoW and Youtube bugs keep persisting still.

Maybe the first one in the quote, is related to PC Halo MCC crashing while launching, when at the "XBOX GAMES" logo, where it's terminated unexpectedly, but is sporadic.

The second one may be related to the shimmering I get in Unigine Superposition.

(Both Radeon and GeForce, IIRC)

Is this a joke ? "Game Ready drivers"
Ngreedia make their cards only for miners! So this should be called "Miner Ready drivers"

I have this for a quite long time now with gsync on, some apps will flicker during load times and others will have decreased refresh rated compared to the desktop. Seems there is a problem when fps exceeds the refresh rate of the monitor and fps limiter in nvidia control panel doesn't work properly for some reason. I have to use rivatuner to block max fps on a lot of apps, it's quite frustrating.

If that helps you sleep at night, you cry baby.

Whoa whoa whoa, supreme commander might have low FPS? i still actually play that randomly

I wish they'd fix the goddamn texture flickering in World of Warcraft issue.

I'd expect this kinda crap from AMD's GPU drivers but Not Nvidia, it's why I've stuck with nvidia, including the 30 series.
*groans*

LoL, the fact that WoW now works with AMD might be the reason why nVidia just don't bother anymore. :laugh:
Btw nVidia still haven't fixed the D3D initialize error that Diablo 3 gets when you start the game, you have to press retry to have it work.
Not even listed as a known issue.

"[GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER]: Random flickering may appear across the top of the monitor on some PC configurations. [3184254]"

Woah, woah....wait, what?! And WTF are we 1660 Super owners supposed to do to "fix" the problem should it occur?

Great, I just finished updating my drivers, too. Now my anxiety is all over the goddamn place.

"LG CX OLED TVs not being recognized as being G-SYNC capable."

It still worked anyway, but nice to be recognized.

You can always test the new driver and if it causes you a problem, revert back. I have found that most of these "what if" type warnings rarely have much effect on the vast majority of PC's.
