Boxes Marked RTX 3080 Ti 12GB Seen Heading to Distributors

More like the "RTX 3080 Ti launch is around the scalper" hehe

What about Ethererum? It's very profitable from what I hear the miners say. Mined with GPUs. Some analysts are saying it will go from the present $2,400 to around $7,000 by 2025.

Or maybe from 2400 to 0, who knows, those prophets aren't very reliable.

I assume that it should be in the USD 999 region since it is meant to compete with the likes of the RX 6900 XT. But good luck finding it at the MSRP because it will be gone and back at 3x the price from scalpers listing.

why would you price something at $999 when the market will stand at least double that.. ??

more chaos on the way.. assuming they are not mining nerfed they will mine something like a 3080 card does.. so will end up costing the same-ish..

nvidia may well take the opportunity to brings its prices more inline with a true market prices.. we will have to wait and see..

we seem to have two worlds here.. the gamers pretend world and the real one..

trog

Isn't that good we have lots of options at the $ 2500 price range?

Bitcoin and all other crypto need to be called out for what it is : a scam something of no value except of cheating millions of stupid people that it is a currency and an asset and that it is a store of value . i hope it will be outlawed everywhere so us Gamers can finally have access to the latest graphics cards at reasonable prices.

I'm just thrilled to see another GPU come into existence, only for me to never be able to purchase one. It's like a dream come true.

Meh, we are already half way through this GPU cycle. I could care less about these unobtainable cards. Better to just wait for next gen.

Glad to see some people still thinking clearly :)

Next gen we can buy any of the millions of those mined-out Turing and Ampere cards for just under MSRP. Can't wait! You'll replace the fans to hit just over MSRP, and call it awesome.

Then no doubt PC Gaming is on it's last legs.

Or everyone goes back to 1080p and try to make the best of it with cards in the lower end range like 3050 series, as 4K gaming will be too expensive.

4K gaming lel.

Never understood why anyone ever thought that was an advantage tbh. Even with GPUs available. Bigger isn't always better and if its not bigger, you're just missing information you are calculating regardless.

News about a high end GPU like the 3080 Ti would normally be very interesting to me but we don't live in that world right now. I wouldn't be surprised if that pallet of 3080 Ti somehow mysteriously falls off the back of the truck during transport.

You will be able to buy a Turing that has been beaten to death mining for years for a reasonable price. Good luck with that but you won't be able to buy an Ampere for a reasonable price.

Nextgen GPUs will most likely be nonexistent for gamers unless they are willing to get ridiculously scalped. Possibly even the generation after that.

Let's really hope the card is lacking crypto, so miners won't be interested. Gotta prepare my RTX 3090 for sell and replace it with this I guess. $500 are lot of money for the perf. difference.

Hm..

My only question is will these have the full amount of shaders of a 3090 but with half the VRAM, or will they cut them back a tiny amount

But really, the Ti variant has to be more powerful than the 3090, otherwise is just a waste of silicon for that price....

its not a 3090ti, its a 3080ti

i'm leaning towards it being a 3090 with half the VRAM, maybe a small clock deficit

According to its mining performance of course, just like every GPU out there.

This situation we are in, is not solely because of mining. Gaming has spiked because of covid too + missing compontents and power outages.

3080 Ti will for sure come with the revised mining-lock fround on 3060 re-release (GA106-302). And I think it will sell out instantly anyway.

Nvidia... the company that announces products that never get launched and launches products that have never been announced. The way it's meant to be played, I guess.

I guess we will not see MSRP except if Nvidia sells them directly.
Gotta give a big shoutout to EVGA, since that is exactly what they did with a big chunk of their stock. They set up a First-In-First-Out waiting list shortly after the launch and sold many cards to customers direct off that list. A couple of weeks ago it was my turn. It took about 6 months, but I got a 3080 at launch MSRP. I heard they recently started charging their current MSRP, but that is still more than fair. EVGA won some brand loyalty from me with that move.

So you do care? The appropriate saying is, "I couldn't care less".

12GB? Laughs in 1080Ti's 11GB.

Yup and they are the only one with a 10y warranty option. Goes to show they are sure of their quality. I only buy EVGA GPUs now.

Could Intel's XE actually be the saviour? Let's say $399 US for performance between a Vega 7 and 2080? The crazy thing is the DIY is stupid but pre builts and Gaming laptops are inexpensive. Just a couple weeks ago there was a desktop with a 10400F and 5600XT, 512GB SSD and 8 GB RAM for 1179 CAD on Canada Computers. Then there are laptops with 3060M (Get the 130W) for around $1300+ that are really nice for Gaming.

No, I said it the correct way for sure: https://slate.com/human-interest/20...onal-or-ungrammatical-as-you-might-think.html

It's an American saying that uses inference to imply that you in fact would be hard pressed to find something you could care less about.

Meanwhile "I couldn't care less" originated in britian (and you can usually tell someone isn't an American if they try and correct you to this phrase). This phrase directly states what the american version infers.
