NVIDIA is reportedly increasing the production of their GeForce RTX 3060 (LHR) graphics card with a focus on supplying internet cafes. The increased supply of the second revision mining restricted LHR card is expected in July. NVIDIA has allowed board partners to begin taking deposits from Internet Cafes in China for new orders with an expected shipping date of July 10th. This latest news will help to improve the graphics card pricing situation which has already started to improve thanks to increased supply and reduced cryptocurrency value.

Same cafe's that switched over to mining?

imo this is exactly what Nvidia needs to do. The 3060 might not look sexy to gamers that run high end cards for 4K or extremely high frame rates for 1440p but the majority of gamers don't do that. This is a very nice midrange GPU and that is what most gamers are looking for but can't afford the insane prices. I hope Nvidia pumps these 3060s out so that the average gamer can finally, finally upgrade.

We need more 3060 Ti's. Now that's something I'd actually consider as bang for buck option.

Just remember that the 3060 has 50% more VRAM than the 3060 Ti while, in theory, costing 18% less than it. Don't get me wrong, both cards would be excellent upgrades from say, a 1060 6 GB, but I think that the 3060 has more value for gamers overall.

I agree that the RTX 3060 is actually a great card for most users that are not pushing 4K gaming. The problem now however is that the prices of this card is still very high and hopefully with an increase in supply, we can see prices come down. It is funny that Nvidia did not increase production of their Ampere cards during the height of the mining craze over the last 2 months. So now with less miners buying, they are finally "increasing supply" to retail market.

true I know someone who switched his internet cafes to mining and especially he is in a foreign country, mining with us dollar and exchanging it to there currency it big big money

Ti is certainly faster, but I feel the extra VRAM on the RTX 3060 can be quite beneficial over a longer term. Plus, I think people generally play competitive e-sports titles in gaming cafes, so the RTX 3060 Ti may be an overkill.

The prices are still a sticking point but if Nvidia churns them out and the miners can't really use them then it may cut back the scalping of this GPU. I'm hoping so anyway. This GPU wouldn't really be an upgrade for me but I just want to see the average gamer finally getting an upgrade option.

Let hope I can buy a new 3060 for cheaper than when I sold my nephew's 2060S a few months back :D

So... if I'm a Chinese internet cafe I'm good?

The way I read that was the focus would be on Internet Cafes but not solely for Internet Cafes. We will see but I'm hoping some show up in retail outlets. Some is better than none.

The 3060Ti is also 30% faster while the extra VRAM on the 3060 is, at this point in time, useless. At MSRP the 3060Ti has more performance/$. The problem is that the 3060Ti hardly gets made so there's never any stock. Most GA104 chips just go into the 3070 & 3070Ti.

It's nice that nVidia cares so much about helping those Chinese cafes out. F the rest of us, eh nGreedia? For the gamers!

3060 Ti not coming back anymore?

According on stockdrops FE variants still show up in stock. AiB variants have practically disappeared.

Man, was too late, but but THAT's MY LINE!

No, sorry, nothing "midrange" about this 3060 "THING" it can barely do 60FPS on high settings within games (1440p) but they advertise it as such a card, what a joke.

Not to mention, if you compare this with all the previous generation xx60 cards, it has the worst price/performance to date. No, just no, don't entertain nVidia and their lying bs. The only cards this generation worth a damn RTX3060Ti and RTX3080, they make sense price/performance, the rest gives too little performance and at too high a cost compared to previous generations.

I don't think Nvidia is doing anything different or other than they can feasibly get their hands on. After all, these are already heavily cut down dies. They're not making 3060's, we all know this. They're just putting those stickers on some of their GPUs rolling out.

The focus is on producing the best yield. Not specific product in a stack. That's not how this works.

TL DR this is a bullshit story. Remember how during Pascal we suddenly had GP104 appear in lower SKUs - failed 1080's and even 1070ti's that were already a similar 'nudge' to get more product out on worse binned dies. All I see here is Nvidia trying to make good show through yet another 'rumor' from a random post somewhere to make headlines and get people looking at the product again.

The 3060 should have been a 3050Ti

Another example - 2060 "KO".

As usual, tech companies and our toothless market regulators and corrupt politicians were "all talk no walk" in regards to ending crypto craze and why would they not be. NGreedia, AMD, AIBs, distributers and retails were making a record profits, hoping to extend supply issue as much as they possibly can by supplying GPUs to mining farms and in case of Ngreedia even F retail customers by implementing hash limiters for the sake of PR. Ironically it took the ban on Crypto-mining in China to prompt a massive price drop in crypto prices and subsequently lower demand for dGPUs worldwide. I'm not a fan of Chinese policies in general, but once again it has been shown that China is "all about the walk not talk". Government simply ordered power companies to stop supplying cryptocurrency miners with electricity by Sunday and that was all it was needed to halt China's largest cryptocurrency mining bases. Would that be so hard to do the same in other crypto heavens? India, Iceland, Russia are you listening?

Well, geez, look at this, there is actually stock on Amazon, highly inflated prices, of course making sure I will never buy one, but usually that didn't even matter they would be gone within 3 seconds:

ETH value has also dropped like a stone the last few weeks.
