Renowned for deep co-engineering and collaboration to advance computing, Intel and Microsoft today deepen their partnership to deliver a completely reimagined computing experience with the upcoming Windows 11 for the more than three-fourths of Windows PCs powered by Intel processors. "Intel and Microsoft's long-standing approach to OS, system architecture and hardware integration enables the best PC experience for customers. The combination of Windows 11 and Intel technologies and platforms offers unmatched performance, compatibility and experiences on Windows, and we're bringing people's favorite experiences from the phone to the PC with Intel Bridge Technology," said Gregory Bryant, Intel executive vice president and general manager, Client Computing Group.

New PCs enabled by Intel Core processors and Intel's broad portfolio of intellectual property and platform technologies are ready to deliver the full potential of new Windows 11 experiences—allowing people to collaborate, create and connect in ways that are meaningful to them. New experiences include:
  • Intel Bridge Technology, which vastly expands mobile applications to run right on the PC, making it easier than ever to both be productive and play favorite games all on one screen.
  • Windows Snap and Thunderbolt 4 for the best multi-monitor experience.
  • Windows and Intel Wi-Fi 6E, to connect anywhere, anytime from a PC—with more than 60 laptop designs on the market featuring Wi-Fi 6E, among other capabilities.
With Intel Bridge Technology, the PC continues to offer the most choices and best experiences for the broadest ecosystem of applications. Intel Bridge Technology is a runtime post-compiler that enables applications to run natively on x86-based devices, including running those applications on Windows. Intel's multi-architecture XPU strategy provides the right engines for the right workloads by integrating leading CPU cores, graphics technology, artificial intelligence accelerators, image processors and more, in a single, verified solution.

These hardware advancements, coupled with Intel's software co-engineering with Microsoft, will enable some of the best Windows designs on the market. Intel has already verified more than 80 Windows-based Intel Evo platforms from top original equipment manufacturers, including ASUS, Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI and Samsung, among others. Intel expects to deliver the broadest range of computing experiences for Windows 11 this year and beyond, with 10th Gen, 11th Gen and future generations of Intel Core processor-based platforms for consumers, businesses, education, enthusiasts and more.

So many words, so little meaning... Are you trying to say "We have invented something that will let you play your mobile games on your desktop", because let's be honest, 20% of decent mobile games are PC ports and the other 80% are the wall of pay2win "Freemium" cr*p or Office Dumbed Down Edition that people actively don't want on their PC's...

I hope this works on Ryzen, and not with artificial performance nerfs and other Intel "Tricks".

well Intel worked with Microsoft on win 11 so by this pr its all Intel baby.

However, AMD do make consoles with Ms, and they do also co-develop PC hardware and platforms too soo exclusive, they're version is, AMD ,Nvidia and Qualcom will have they're versions too.

Historically, intel have always been sharing the bed with M$, mostly at AMD's expense. Sadly that's also the case with GCC. Main devs of GCC take 'intel x86' way too literally.

Historically they made a lot of money, now Ms is also making lots of money with AMD.
I think it will equalise a bit.

I trully hope so.

OS and apps should run at max possible speed on every chip supporting the same instruction sets.
We all know that is very hard and not economically viable in practice however.

What I hope for is that devs spend at least equal amounts of time optimizing for all major chip manufacturers out there.

This Intel Bridge Technology allows to run Android apps on Win11.

I wonder who needs that?
I don't need such a thing.
I have already an Android LTE capable tablet and Android phone so I myself don't see any use for this.
I can run native Android apps on that platforms.
I don't need to start my gaming machine to just run an Android App on it.
My Galaxy S10 plus is enough for doing most of Android related daily stuff like WhatsApp, Threema etc. and I am not a fan of any mobile games. I don't really play any such games.

I wonder if free Android apps when run on PC will also port those annoying adds with them to PC.

AMD partnered with a firm/application that did just this, years ago, it never took off ,I tried it way back but have no use for running say the TPU app on my pc.

And elsewhere on the interwebz it is reported that Intel's Bridge work's on AMD and arm chip's straight from the get go, done by Intel because they perceive it as important for viability and uptake to have broad compliance and operability.
