Here's the first picture of EVGA's very first AMD chipset-based product, the EVGA X570S DARK motherboard! "The red pill," said Vince "K|ngp|n" Lucido, sharing this picture on Facebook. Designed for leaderboard-topping overclocking through and through, this board sets its intentions with the 90° rotated CPU socket that's optimized for extreme cooling, 1 DIMM per channel memory (two memory slots), a PCB that looks like it's at least 10-layer, and a high-grade CPU VRM. Power inputs appear to include a 24-pin ATX, two 8-pin EPS, and one 6-pin PCIe power. Expansion slots include two PCI-Express 4.0 x16 (x8/x8 with both populated, spaced 2 slots apart); and just the one x1 slot. Connectivity includes two wired Ethernet interface, Wi-Fi + Bluetooth, 20 Gbps USB 3.2 x2, and 8-channel HD audio.

IDK, Logo seems to be on the wrong side of the board.

Also the big zen O kind of makes it look like 'dOrk'....

which is probably a more accurate description.

I hope evga will live to its hype. I hope they wont price it so stupidly expensive as asus and gigabyte on their high end mobo

It will be 400+ like every other dark board that has been released.

I like EVGA but I really wish they would support their boards better after the sale. Asus provides BIOS and driver updates/security updates for several years at least, whereas my Z270 FTW K EVGA board never saw another BIOS update past like 2 years or less.

My x299 dark received an update January of this year for resizable bar. But it seems a lot of z270 boards haven't received the same update adding support so not isolated to EVGA only.

That, and it's pretty much on its own in the AM4 XOC space. The only comparable boards are the B550 Unify-X ($300) and maybe the Impact ($425, and only if Asus went back and improved the mem OC on that board). At least on Z590 there's a bunch of boards to choose from, Tachyon, Apex, OC Formula, Dark, Unify-X (admittedly they don't sit at the same price point, and they definitely don't have any motivation to compete with each other on price). I wish we had more ~$300 2DIMM ATX boards - I'd move to a Cerberus X just for it.

I'm sure in EVGA's eyes the extra cost is justified by the snazzy X570 chipset even though the board doesn't have enough M.2 slots to actually make use of it over B550

Otherwise it pretty much looks like a Unify-X, probably the same 14+2 VRM with ISL99390s or comparable SPS parts. 10-layer PCB compared to the 8-layer Unify-X but does it actually make a difference?

I think it will be 350$+.. Or the same with crosshair dark series
