The MEG SILENT GALE P12 fan is an innovative product that once again demonstrates MSI's well-rounded accomplishments in gaming. With a reserved all-black look, the MEG SILENT GALE P12 fan is capable of generating airflow to the system for effective cooling while maintaining low noise levels. It has a great performance to show, and you just can't hear it coming.

The MEG SILENT GALE P12's fan blades are constructed by liquid crystal polymer (LCP), a compound that reduces vibration while the fan is running at maximum speed and has a high strength that can withstand thermal expansion. The fan blades are also carefully crafted to maximize airflow performance, optimized at a 32-degree angle to retain 58% of the airflow.

Speaking of airflow, the MEG SILENT GALE P12 fan provides excellent air convection and heat dissipation. This is in part because of the 32-degree fan blade design, as well as because of the design of the frame. The frame is designed with an angle and curvature so that airflow is directed and channeled in a highly focused stream. This design minimizes turbulence, and the focused airflow enhances static pressure.

The MEG SILENT GALE P12 also comes with an HDB (hydro-dynamic bearing), which reduces friction noise as well as increases the fan's life expectancy. The anti-vibration gaskets sitting on the four corners of the fan are also used to reduce rattling caused by the vibration. Lastly, the fan's exterior frame is also robustly made to withstand higher pressure, capable of withstanding 61.24 KG of compressive strength.

MSI should put this fan on their Graphics cards.

Odd choice of naming.
The most commong adverb used to describe a gale is "howling".
Perhaps MSI is trying to copy that other oxymoronic fan name, the gentle typhoon.

This looks like it could be the same OEM as the Gentle Typhoon, that bearing is huge. If so, I may grab a few. Will wait for reviews.

Got 3 of these already, just different color.... :p

Marketing department in overdrive... I fail to see how making a fan demonstrates anything at all related to gaming.

You can see in one of the pics the OEM is Powerlogic. Idk if thats good or bad but I kinda wish all the brands would put that on back of the fan so its easy to see who really makes it.

I have to wonder if this was Powerlogic's own design, copied from the GTs, then rebranded for companies like MSI, or maybe a sibling division of Nidec (like how SERVO is to Nidec). The only core difference is the bearings; this uses a hydro-dynamic bearing vs double ball bearings. Noctua's A12x25s also use a fancy HDB under their "SSO2 Bearing" for reference.

My guy. My 3070 Gaming X Trio is the quietest card I've ever owned. The fans are fine and do a great job.
Trio series are one of the best card models out there imo. I'm still running a 1080 Ti Trio, so quiet, so cool, very good looking as well. Card is stable without issue for years.
Trio series will definitely be high up on my list when it's the time for me to upgrade.

Long wall of words to say that the fan is made of plastic and the bearings make the fan spin.

Probably a visual copy that is going after the GT...

It may perform similarly but I doubt its as well made as GT as Nidec is one the largest fan manufactures in the world and you see them used in $100,000+ servers. Not that Powerlogic is junk or anything, I see them on graphics cards all time but I kinda like the idea of having the same brand fan in my desktop that goes into a high-end server so I wish there was 140mm version of GT.
