iPhone Screen Better Than the iPod Touch Screen

Since the iPhone and the new iPod touch seems to be very similar in design, most people assume that they also use the same screen. However, Gizmodo has reported that the iPod touch screen's deep black colors are grayish and appears to be shimmering at times. The shadows also seem to be washed out compared to the iPhone's screen.

It probably depends on who is manufacturing which at any given time - even the iPhone had batches that were noticibly better (or worse) than others.

iPhone is made by a different manufacturer than the iPod touch.

Always a gamble to have stuff made in China.

That's a seriously "shoddy" assumption. Not everything made in China is badly produced, especially considering the speed with which all these devices must be produced. This is about the LCD screens used, just as with the PSP, not the level of final manufacturing.

My ipod video has one stuck pixel, always red.

With the ultra-high dpi of these screens though, its hard to tell unless you look for it specifically.

Now back to the forum.
The Screen on the ipod looks yellowish that just weird!
maybe you just got a crappy batch and maybe like the first batch of iphone where problems occur more often.
Note to self: Never Buy First Batch items , usually problematic
