The new Z690 MB are breaking out in a few weeks time. And with a lot more and new tech enhancements. $700 is absurd at this point in time and if I had the cash, I would want all the MB cards on the table for true comparing show and tell.

is this just for XOC? if so why audio, wifi/bt, etc. Do you need those things for XOC? If it isn't only for XOC, why bother releasing it, AM4 is dead end.

Nevermind the IPC and whatnot, AMD biggest enemy is the lack of foundries, what's the point of having a fast CPU if it can only reach a few people ?

not so sure it ends there, they have to sell these, they are a business. Also, at no point did i assert either implicitly or explicitly that this had no value to others. What i did question was the marketability, timing and strange feature set of an exclusively XOC board.

Point being just because the platform is coming at the end of its life it doesn't mean these niche products have no future , XOC community loves to play with old platforms .

only time will tell, we won't have access to those sales figures, but this is not only a niche market, but a niche upon an EOL, assume what you want about the statement, someone always buys this stuff, but that doesn't mean it makes sense, which is the larger point here, not that "no customers" exist, or "because i think so, that means no one wants it", that's just not what im saying here. Timing matters, tech has a lifespan, if your point about XOC users is valid, then why are there no more X58 Darks being released? GYHOOYA.
