Newegg has been on a roll this week when it comes to leaking pricing of upcoming motherboards and this time they've managed to out no less than seven upcoming models from Gigabyte. Unfortunately we didn't get a first hand view of the leaks, so we have to make do with what little information is available for now.

The pricing of the seven leaked boards ranges from US$199.99 to US$469.99, which is less painful than what we've seen so far from other brands. The base model is the Gigabyte Z690 UD DDR4, which even at US$199.99 is almost $50 more than the current Z590 UD board from the same retailer. Moving up a step, we have the Z690 Gaming X DDR4 at US$229.99, followed by the Z690 Aorus Elite AX DDR4 at US$269.99 and the Z690 Aero G DDR4 at US$289.99.

The first DDR5 model leaked by Newegg is the Z690 Aorus Pro, which comes in at $329.99, followed by the high-end, but not quite flagship Z690 Aorus Master at US$469.99. The last board, which is another DDR4 board, is the Z690I Aorus Ultra, which is a Mini-ITX board. At least Gigabyte's base model looks more attractive than MSI's and ASRock's base models, which also appear to cost more, but beyond that, we're going to have to wait for official details later today, to have a closer look at the various boards.

Hi,
Waiting to see how stupid priced the z690 apex is
z590 is wow stupid 200.us over z490

Not sure if this is newegg fluffing prices or not, I wouldnt be surprised one bit if they did, they always look for an excuse to artificially inflate prices. They seem a bit over priced for DDR4 boards, so if its not newegg bloat than it has to be Gigabyte, a need to get paid for all those recent RMA claims.:p

Gen 1 gigabyte boards :fear:

ASRock and MSI appear to be more expensive based on other leaked prices, but it's obviously hard to compare between retailers and countries.

yea this kind of 'leaked prices' does not mean they are MSRP.

Indeed, but regardless, it's not good news that so many boards are showing up with quite steep increases over the previous generation, which was already more expensive than the one before that. Obviously no-one is expecting to get things for free, but the PC market has seen way too many steep price increases where the actual cost at manufacturing hasn't increased by anything close as much.

Hilarious. Having bought a new, full ATX AM4 X470 motherboard for under 100 euros, this is hilarious. And sad. And really, really bad.
And unfortunately AMD motherboard pricing will be similar considering that the AMD platform in not a cheap alternative anymore, but also a high performance platform.

No mATX love.

Keep in mind this is Z690. The comparable is X570 on AMD side. I'm sure we'll have a 660 and 610 as well for the lower end, but these prices are not really that much higher than Z590.

It's crazy that the UD is Gigabytes entry level boards these days. That was their premium level branding tier back in the day.
Not quite true, they had a range from UD3 to UD6 or even UD7 sometimes.
As such, a UD3 was a mid-range board and a UD6/7 was the flagship. Anything below a UD5 wasn't really all that premium.
They also had far fewer SKUs back then than today.

I forgot all about them also numbering the UD's into tier's still way easier to make sense of than today. Didn't they also have entry boards that didn't even fall under the UD brand umbrella?

Yeah, but usually only a handful of boards.

Even if prices go lower this isn't good. Imagine having to pay as much for your motherboard as you do with your i5. If only b660 had OC enabled like b550, then it would be much, much better.

The pleasure to see that DIY market is dying because of stupid, stupid high prices.
DIY is high end now........ :P

  • Haha
Reactions: ixi
There will be decline in price when understandable people will stop buying shit in high prices.
