Meta has recently confirmed during their latest earnings call that Quest store content sales had surpassed $1 billion in sales since its launch in 2019. This represents tremendous growth for the platform with average monthly revenue quadrupling from $12.4 million in mid-2020 to $51.3 million currently. The total number of Quest 2 headsets sold is likely near 10 million units as estimated by Qualcomm but never officially confirmed. Meta is likely selling the Quest 2 headset at a loss to gain market share and at least according to these figures they appear to be succeeding.

thats how much tiktok spends on toilet paper. yawn

The headset is good, but the content is mediocre, to put it kindly.

I find this data tough to believe given the lack-luster adoption of the Quest platform.
A lot of people got the QUEST 2 for the Holidays as gifts instead of the PS5/Xbox since those are still being scalped hard.

I loaded up my QUEST 2 and checked VRChat -- screeching kids. Opened Poker All-stars -- screeching kids.

Tiktok has the millenials and gen Z by the balls.
While I abhor the political talk, I can not disagree with what's been said. TikTok is a garbage platform for people who can't think for themselves. But we're way off-topic.

So folks, lets rope it in and cut out the off-topic and political talk before the mods come in with the hammer.

Only took seven years to make half their money back! (not accounting for great losses from Reality Labs to the tune of around $10,000,000,000 in 2021)

"Hey, look at our revenue stream! It isn't completely embarrassing. Don't mind that it's because people couldn't buy what thwy actually wanted this past holiday season. Don't mind that they could buy a ps5, series x, switch or gpu. Don't mind all that, ha ha ha but do mind the supply of those meets demand and revenue tanks mkay!"
