It seems like DDR4 has ruled the roost forever. Finally, new motherboards and architectures have allowed memory to grow wings with the advent of DDR5. They obviously had spelling correction on and accidentally added high instead of low.
Imagine someone calling DDR4-1600 CL12 (yes this was a real thing) as high performance.
These days you cant even find sticks below DDR4-2133 CL14.

Same will be true for these 4800 kits years down the line when no one wants them because likely 6000 kits are much faster for miniscule price increase.
 
The margins for memory must be really nice right now. Its seems every company with the slightest affiliation with dram are jumping into the fray. Announcing their version of high performance modules.

No doubts about the profitability. DDR5 generally cost quite a fair bit more than DDR4, while I don’t think the BOM of DDR5 is substantially more. Anyway, the DRAM market is extremely saturated now with so many players. The way this is being marketed is a desperate attempt to try and segregate themselves from competition. High performance? Copper heat spread in a laptop with barely any airflow over it?

For ddr4 its truly high performance. This sabrent ddr5 stuff is stupid slow. But hey, marketing is marketing.
