Just like in fashion, certain colours are more popular at times than others. At the moment, many users like the look a a white build, some add RGB fans, others like it more understated. In order to offer a nice option for gamers and enthusiasts, Antec Inc. shows off the DP505 White. The case is now commercially available from 112€ (suggested retail price including VAT).

The chassis features visual effects with a x-shaped front panel design ensures a massive air intake for ideal cooling performance of the components. Ventilation grids on the top, at bottom and at the PSU chamber of the case accelerate the airflow. Magnetic and pull-out dust filters at the top and the bottom allow for easy cleaning and maintenance. The 4 mm non-drilled tempered glass side panel lets the user show off the build, while the interior of the chassis allows plenty of space for watercooling and case fans.

The new DP505 White measures 481 x 220 x 490 mm (DxWxH) and is compatible with eATX, ATX, micro-ATX and ITX motherboards. In terms of fan support, the case accommodates three 120 mm / three 140 mm or two 185 mm in the front, three 120 mm fans / two 140 mm fans on top as well as one 120 mm fan in the rear and two fans on the PSU shroud. Three 120 mm ARGB fans in the front are already included in this neat gaming case.

For extra water-cooling, the DP505 White can accommodate a 360 mm radiator in the front and on top and a 120 mm radiator in the rear. The case boasts two convertible tool-less 3.5" HDD drive cages (convertible to 2x 2,5" SSDs), two 2.5" SSD mounting spaces as well as seven expansion slots. Moreover, the chassis has plenty of space for graphics cards with a length of up to 375 mm and effective ventilation, making it particularly suitable for gamers as well. The mid-tower supports high-end air coolers with a maximum CPU Cooler Height of 170 mm and power supplies with a length of 205 mm.

The I / O panel features Power and LED control button, two USB 3.0, one Type C 3.2 and Mic and HD Audio jacks. With 23 mm clearance in the rear and a grove on the top as well as eight included rubber grommets, the DP505 White offers sufficient options for cable management, allowing for a clean build and optimized airflow.

The Idea of separating the power supply from the rest of the case was to try to keep its heat separate, the hole on the bottom plate defeat this purpose. that bottom section is also used to hide untidy wiring, being a white case, and unless PSU cabling is white you're going to see the black down there, moreso if there is lighting down there.

I get Antec was thinking of airflow, but it should have put fans there to show intent.

I don't like the front much, as far as aesthetics go, for something similar I would prefer something like the Phanteks Eclipse G360A (99€)

has power supply heat ever been a real concern? Especially when mounted facing down it seems like a non-factor, hiding cables seems to be the true reason for those shrouds...

That mesh looks super restrictive. Especially after a few weeks of it getting dusty.

No USB-c port!

I have P500A and love it, and would check out this Antec ahead of the P360A.

Some people think so. Cases that dont have that separation and cant be fan-down do affect temps on a video card slightly, nothing major, but some with that DCO problem will squeeze every bit of cooling out of a case in anyway they can. ;)

its not, until it gets dusty. :D

looks nice, if the build quality is good it can be a good choice for that price.
Surely you realize that this case is made by Antec, right ?

If so then your statement is, as Mr. Spock would say: "highly illogical" (with his classic raised eyebrow), as they have yet to produce anything, a case or otherwise, that could be noted as a "quality" product :D
