$2700-3000 for a mobile CPU and GPU that will be limited by cooling because Corsair chose form over function is stupid.

Is the screen and new CPU worth $1000+ more than the Asus AMD Advantage with 5900HX, 6800M, and adequate cooling?

The Elgato components contribute probably like 500$ to the higher price. And that display is going to be significantly more expensive as well. I can't say I've seen a 16:10, 240 Hz, WQXGA (2560x1600)
panel before.

Other than interesting display everything else especially price, drivers and software seem to be big let down.

when catering to the streamers who have no idea how to operate a PC while cramming all the bloatware and garbage into it is more important than making a competent gaming PC (or laptop in this matter) that has proper hardware, cooling and software to complement it. And, it costs $2700 with the R7 6800HS + RX6800M? That's not even high-end. MSI's Raider GE68HX 12UGS-013 (i7-12800HX, RTX3070Ti) looks like the better laptop with similar or better performance for $200 less while having a 1440p (16:9) 240Hz OLED LED panel and a massive 99.9Wh battery, while having way better cooling solution than what Corsair employs.

Yeah, the 6800U is a higher-binned part than the 6800HS and I just bought two Lenovo Yoga laptops with a 6800U for under £1000. The 6800HS are not expensive CPUs like the 6900HS are.

As for the 6800M? it looks to be a downclocked desktop 6700XT which is not a match for the 3070 when it comes to streaming - they want RTX Voice and Amepere's NVENC for OBS. Either way, the 6800M features on multiple different laptops costing as little as £1299, not that it matters because you can find deals on 3070 laptops for £999 now (new MSI Katana GF66). Given that £ incl tax is ~equivalent to $ excl tax, that's a heck of a big ask for a midrange part.

6800M is between mobile 3070 and 3080 for gaming performance. Streamers might want the Nvidia feature stack.

Ah okay. Laptop GPUs are always hard to gauge because they vary so wildly between different cTDPs and honestly, I've seen a 3060Ti outperform a 3080 because of dumb TDP/cooling mistakes.

While Corsair likes to target the high end market for their products gauging by the prices of their products, I actually don’t think they can segregate themselves from the overcrowded laptop market. Despite trying to add exclusive features, I would steer clear of Corsair knowing that it is highly like you need to use their iCue software that is a resource hog.
