NVIDIA Confirms GeForce "Ada" Launch tied to "Project Beyond," Drops a Sneaky Phone Number

I call BS. This only reminds me of when people saw the number 3 in everything Valve published, taking it as an indication that they were working on Half-Life 3. What's next? Are we going to read horoscopes from Nvidia's hints? Come on...

All we know for sure is they will sell like hot cakes and make Nvidia billions.

Sorry.

Why does this nVidia campaign reads and or sounds like what a scammer would type and or say?
It cannot be because nVidia might of sayd to the "bust open" Cernobyl NPP reactor no.4 : "hold my beer!" , can it?
Before you comment on the way other people read (write) or sound in the future, you might want to spend some time working on your own.

BEYOND = Higher prices than you have ever seen before...

208 = 2.08x more expensive than 3090 FE
629 = power consumption in watts
7538 = no. of cards produced for worldwide sales until end of 2022
Sounds about right.

Prices where no GPU have gone before! (C) Star Trek

my guess is rtx 4090 will be super pricey for the rich people, but rdna 3 will cut that price in half for 5% less performance in most games. be patient.

I'm not sure. AMD already became a well-respected and competitive player (again) with Zen 2/3 and RDNA 2. They don't have much reason to lower prices compared to Intel and Nvidia. But I hope you're right.

I also hope they're right, but if anything, AMD has shown itself in recent years to be very happy following Nvidia and Intel on raising prices. While I get the desire to rid themselves of their reputation for being "the budget option", they've gone much, much too far in the "we're a business, we exist to extract profits" direction lately.

true, I think the markets are very saturated at the moment, and with record inflation, food costing double, etc... lot of cards are going to be sitting on shelves. regardless, it will be interesting to see what things look like 6 months from now.

2.08x the power consumption of the 3090
629w average gaming power draw
7538w recommended power supply

I laughed at nGreedia rebadging a 4070 into a 4080... Tells you everything you need to know about nGreedias arrogance. They want to go higher prices than what they managed at the peak of when they were directly selling their cards to miners.

We are going to see pricing records broken. I just hope that the mass market ignores nGreedia, and buys the 30x0 series from ebay instead.

While I get what you're trying to say ... names are names. They're arbitrary. And given that these cards aren't official yet, saying they've rebranded anything is nonsensical. Nvidia has every right in the world to name their future GPUs however they want. There are conventions and expectations, but ultimately they can do whatever they want. You can't rebadge something that hasn't been officially named yet.

I agree with you as long as they don't give the same name to two products of entirely different performance / feature range, like they did with the Kepler and Fermi variants of the GT 730, or the GT 1030 in DDR4 and GDDR5 flavours, or the 3/6 GB GTX 1060. I think product naming should be regulated somehow, as it is a sure way to mislead uninformed consumers.
