Pat Gelsinger Becomes First Owner of an Intel Arc A770 Graphics Card

It appears that we're slowly getting closer and closer to the official launch of Intel's upcoming Arc A770 and Arc A750 graphics cards, as Intel's CEO, Pat Gelsinger, just became the proud owner of the first Arc A770 graphics card. According to a tweet by Pat, he "got a surprise delivery on a rainy Sunday evening from @RajaXG", the latter being Raja Koduri. Pat continued "We are now getting first batch of A770 cards ready for retail …excited!".

Intel has yet to reveal a firm launch date for the Arc A770 and Arc A750 graphics cards, but unless the company launches very soon, the boat might very well have sailed for its first generation of new graphics cards. Summer is already long gone (officially summer ends on the 23rd of September), although Intel has its Innovation event coming up on the 27th of this month and it's possible that the company will launch its higher-end Arc graphics cards then, alongside the it's 13th generation of Core desktop CPUs.

Nah.. Gelsinger is an engineer. He wrote a book on programming the 80386, and was the principal engineer of the 486. And before all that, he was an electronics tech in a local TV station. He actually worked his way up, associates degree while at the TV station, got his Bachelors and Masters while working as a QC tech at Intel.

I'd be shocked if he didn't keep a high end PC with CASE/CAM software on it at home. For that matter, I'd be surprised if the guy didn't have a fairly well equipped electronics lab, just for fun.

I was watching a video on Youtibe (Marques Brownlee) with a Guy who built a Intel build with a12900K and Arc 770. The only Game he showed was Forza Horizon 5 and @ 1440P the maximum was 90 FPS. That is about 1/3 that I get for my 6800XT.

or maybe the best use for now, papeweight? /joke (or half joke given the "probably" equaling current gen mid ranges while the two others are on the edge of launching the next... and the fact that it use a 8+6pin maybe)

oh well ... glad someone got his hand on one of the.... wait ... WHO CARES! "the CEO of Intel is the firs owner of a GPU of Intel" so ... does it remotely do or bring something? no...

now bring the A380 LP (via AIB of course) on the Swiss market at a fair price (fat chance with intel and Swiss pricing but who knows ... ) and we'll talk. (main rig is fine )
