MSI is announcing today the brand-new 13th Gen Intel Core Processors will bring along a whole new series of Z790 chipset motherboards, which include the MEG Series, MPG Series, MAG Series, and PRO Series as well. MSI's Z790 motherboards paired with 13th Gen Intel Core Processors are here to bring more efficient computing and fine-tuning on the success of the last generation of CPUs. As a world-leading motherboard brand MSI's Z790 motherboards are designed to provide the very best performance for gamers, creators, and users.
13th Gen Intel Core Processors are still built on their "Intel 7" Hybrid Architecture Process Technology. This generation has increased the number of efficiency cores by bringing up to 24 Cores, 32 Threads on a single CPU. L3 Cache has also been slightly bumped up to 36 MB, but more importantly, the memory frequency will support from DDR5-5600-MHz out of the box. On launch, there will be 3 models available which are the i9-13900K, i7-13700K, and the i5-13600K.
There are many upgrades done to this generation of MSI's Z790 motherboards. An updated strong power phase design across MSI Z790 motherboards from our flagship MEG Z790 GODLIKE which has 26 Duet Rail Power System CPU power phases with 105 A SPS to even our entry-level PRO Series motherboard that has increase up to 16 DRPS CPU power phases with 80 A SPS. In addition to such a powerful power phase design, M.2 hasn't been forgotten either which is why it also will feature a Double-Sided M.2 Shield Frozr cooling which could help drop temperatures by 5%. On top of the physical cooling solution, MSI does also have Frozr AI Cooling and CPU Cooler Tuning with software and BIOS to further help with the cooling capabilities.
All models across the Z790 Chipset motherboard will feature the latest wireless network solution "Wi-Fi 6E". M.2 capacity has also increased to populate even more storage by being able to fit up to 7 M.2 slots on our MEG Z790 GODLIKE motherboard! There is also some quality of life improvements in this DIY world, like MSI's patented Magnetic and Screwless M.2 Shield Frozr, Front USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C with Power Delivery up to 60 W, and supporting ARGB Gen 2 devices.
For this generation, MEG Z790 GODLIKE brought out multiple features to help bring the flagship model to a whole new level. The MEG Z790 GODLIKE features a power phases that increased up to 26+2 DRPS CPU power phase design with 105A SPS. With such power, there's an all-new next generation of VRM Cooling design. An all-aluminum cover under a Wavy Fin Array-design, a U-Shape VRM heatsink with Direct Touch Cross Heat-pipe for extra cooling and 7W/mk Thermal Pad with Choke Pads. It also comes with Lightning Gen 5.0 PCIe Slots & Gen 5 M.2 support bringing a staggering 128GB/s of bandwidth for maximum transfer speeds. MEG Z790 GODLIKE and MEG Z790 ACE will have MSI's patented Screwless M.2 Shield Frozr with Magnetic for ultimate ease of installation. Last but not least, the M-Vision dashboard has also been upgraded to much more refined accessories by increasing the touch capacitive area as well as the screen size from 3.5" to 4.5" for much better viewing pleasure.
The MPG Series will feature 4 models, MPG Z790 CARBON WIFI, MPG Z790 EDGE WIFI, MPG Z790 EDGE WIFI DDR4 and also a Mini-ITX MPG Z790I EDGE WIFI motherboards. MPG models will have up to 19+1+1 power phases, Extended Heatsink with heat-pipe, and Lightning Gen 5.0 PCIe slot. Moreover, the ATX motherboards will feature a patented Screwless M.2 Shield Frozr. There will also have a DDR4 version available to the market.
The PRO Series provides stable functionality and high-quality components for professionals and enterprises. The PRO Z790 Series is paired with up to 16+1+1 DRPS power phase as well as Lightning Gen 5.0 PCIe slot, M.2 Shield Frozr, 2.5G LAN, and Wi-Fi 6E as well as Lightning USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C Connection to help give you all the necessary bandwidth and performance to breeze through daily work tasks. As 13th Gen Intel Core Processors is built on LGA 1700 socket which allows backward compatibility with previous 600 series motherboards by just updating the BIOS.
