InWin has today announced its new Chopin MAX Mini-ITX PC chassis, which offers greater component compatibility and more cooling potential to provide users more powerful small form factor setups than ever in a beautifully designed brushed aluminium enclosure that sits proudly on any desk or furnishing.

Now with 25 percent more heatsink clearance (up to 54 mm), the Chopin MAX supports both AMD and Intel stock CPU coolers on their latest respective platforms. The newly redesigned perforated mesh panel increases the ventilation surface area to enhance the speed of heat dissipation. An included 200 W, 80 PLUS Gold PSU provides excellent power efficiency and minimal noise. The front panel I/O now features a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C port capable of 20 Gbps performance, which is four times faster than standard USB 3.0. Despite its smaller size, the Chopin MAX supports two 2.5-inch SSDs situated on a user-friendly installation plate. There's also direct accessibility to the rear of the motherboard tray where some Mini-ITX board designs offer an additional M.2 SSD port.

Available in titanium grey, black and silver, the single, seamless piece of 4 mm thick aluminium is bent and shaped around the three side edges, while a customizable I/O strip can add a unique personal flare, or to show synergy with a business brand color.

Hard to imagine they sold enough of the original to justify building a wider one

Doesn't look too bad for ITX with CPU graphics builds but the idea of putting an ITX with a PCIe 16x slot that will go unused in one of these makes me sad.

I'm surprised they haven't made a version with an external power brick, that would then allow it to support a half-height double slot PCI-E slot for cards like a RX6400 or 1650 in the same case size. Nothing amazing, but still a big step up from integrated graphics (at least until AMD releases an RDNA2 desktop APU, and no Zen 4's 2CU RDNA2 cores doesn't count as an APU).

Good idea especially since inwin makes power supplies too. But most people wouldn’t buy it, they want to be able to upgrade or replace power supply easily.

That moment when you ask why tiny cases like this come with 3 front ports (inc USB-C) and a HDD LED but refrigerator sized towers still struggle...

There have been efforts to mod these cases for such, the issue is the height. To put a PCIe card in a chopin requires the use of a riser cable. The card, sitting in the motherboard slot, stick up over the top of the case.

It's a shame they dont make a slightly bigger one, I'd LOVE a mac mini style mini PC that could take a low profile dual slot card. In win always gets so close. Like their BP 655, It's perfect....except it only has one slot. Just make the thing a little bigger!

I was excited for this case, but it appears that they've only increased the height of the cage on the side for coolers, the case itself is no bigger.
