AMD RDNA3 Navi 31 GPU Block Diagram Leaked, Confirmed to be PCIe Gen 4

I think you're mistaken. The claim is up to 50% faster per CU and since it has 20% more CUs, that means up to 80% faster.
7900 XTX (final retail version with Adrenalin WHQL uplifts) matching/slightly beaten 4090 FE in both RT and Rasterisation, is this outside the realm of possibility ?

Catching up to the 4090 in rasterization is possible, but unlikely. Beating it in ray tracing is almost impossible.

Not a chance and it was not AMD's target. In the best scenario it will trade blows with 3090/Ti for RT and come close to 4090 FE for rasterization.
Its fine by me for the 1000$ asking, given the circumstances on the market and the global economy.

This is the 1st experience with a chiplet based GPU, and we have NO IDEA how much driver improvements we may get, IF ANY, as drivers mature.

What we know thus far is that both raster and RT seem to be below 4090's level: while i THINK the XTX might close the gap to 4090's in raster, i don't think it will ever catch it in RT.

The RX 7900 XTX will be only 20% faster on average than a RX 6950 XT in raytracing.
so you're saying that if the 6950 xt gets 20 fps, the 7900 xtx will get 24? can someone screencap this please lol
