They always had AX, BX, CX, DX series. Followed by two digits (series) and a letter (color). It's probably one of the more consistent naming schemes in the market.

I will give them points for adding a USB-C port, but deduct those points for placing those ports towards the bottom of a case that will end up on the floor in most cases (pun).
That makes sense, thanks. Being unfamiliar with that info that's just how the name struck me though :D

Sounds a lot like internal project name used for marketing, I'll give you that.

I'm curious how well vented the front panel is. I like my Corsair 280X, but it's a little bit restrictive in the airflow department. I could imagine something like this on my desk.

this case doesn't have front vent, similar build as jonsbo d30 and gamemax spark, asus prime ap201 also using same design but with better feature. with same design and smaller itx build, you can find on coolermaster nr200 series. if you need atx version, you can get gamemax spark pro and jonsbo d40.

No front vent... hm... is that bad because of less area for intake vents? Or is that good because of more intake air coming from below through the GPU? I don't know.

I specifically need micro-ATX, by the way. Mini-ITX is too small to work with, and too airflow-restricted for modern high-end builds, and normal ATX is just too big for my taste.

you sure? i think there's too much AIO support for an office workstation
Just going based on brand, most of the Chieftec designs seem intended for professionals, apart from the window on this thing. Back in the day, they sold rebranded Chenming designs that were fairly iconic.

I wouldn't say Chieftec is aimed at professionals. They just seem more down to earth and don't put RGB and weird angles on everything.
Their cases are build properly, mine is over 10 yo and they only thing that's in "as new" condition is the plastic HDD rail thingies.

I had an Antec "Antec Outside" branded Chenming "Chieftec Dragon" style case that was pretty durable, survived a lot of car trips to and from college with my system inside. Thick gauge metal.
