Nice mate just nice. Well done. Thats a monster cpu how much?

I picked the cpu up at CLUBIT.com for 265
I went with the Quad Core 6600 G0 stepping because it runs cooler than the B3 Stepping.

http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SL9UM B3 Stepping

http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sSpec=SLACR G0 Stepping

Works great and im not oc'ing it.
It runs at 69F idle.
Mobo on the Asus Strike extreme runs hot for alot of people.
I could of done a better wiring job, but I used what I had at the time.
Getting that Striker Extreme up and running was a pain in the ass.
I had to go out and buy 1gb ddr2 667mhz ram just to post.
But its running fine now.
Worst comes to worst, I will just add another 8800 ultra in a year or 2.
I hope this will last me for 2-3 years.

The link here doesnt work
Let me try again

These parts are PECI enabled.

These parts have PROCHOT enabled.

These parts have THERMTRIP enabled.

These parts have PECI enabled.

From what I read on reviews and stuff, the G0 are much better for overclocking.
I was gonna grab mine from newegg, but They didn't specify which model they carried, clubit.com Specify the G0 Stepping model.

Are they uk or us based?

as far as I know they are based in the USA in California

I scored 12596 in 3dmarks 06, I have my memory set at 950mhz, i called OCZ.

Anytime I put my memory past 950mhz my system wont post.
So I may send these OCZ memory back, But im sure my score will be better once My memory is running at 1150mhz

I can run all my games at full blast and get no lag.

there you go dude a nice 9 from me as hard work needs rewarding. and thanks for the links i will have a good look when i come to upgrade im in the uk so i hope they dliver here lol.

Looks really good, and awesome hardware to go with it, I think when you get the memory changed or tweaked, you should see better stability. Nice Job again.

Nice Rig man... 10/10 for me.....

Thanks yeah, this thing was a piece.
I was working on it from Friday 9:30 pm to 3:30 am
Then I woke up at 11:00 am and worked no it till 4:00pm
All it was was a stupid button and memory not being excepeted and the new bios sucked. Had to revert back to old bios or else I was stuck.
Also have the 1.00G board where you can't pop a new bios chip in.
I was ready to RMA this board.
Steelkane Helped me on a few parts, he has more extent knowledge of hardware, he builds them quite often.
I am going to try and test this memory right now, 1 by 1 as recommended by OCZ tech support.

Here is a photo of my 100% rock solid network
Cisco 3640 Router with 2 fastethernet ports.
Cisco 2950G 10/100mbit 48 port switch
Seperate WAP access point, secure by MAC address and open SSID, Not connecting here, LOL.
ciscosetup

I need an Access point, hows the D-Link work for you. also all high end systems like yours need to be tweaked and tuned, when you first put them together. Just have Patience and it will work out.

What do you need all those enterprise level networking devices in your house for? If you didn't pay full retail price for them it's pretty cool.

Because I like my network to be solid, I hate SOHO equipment, besides my WAP.
Probably spent over a grand on my network, just need my hp procurve WAP 530+ and im good.
Trust me I have noticed a huge difference using this vs store equipment.
I have noticed SOHO tends to have alot of issues, and I have used many brands.
Since implementing my cisco products, my network has been solid, my internet is faster, my NATS work perfectly fine and I love sys log.
I also got the memory working
I put my sticks in the white slots and boom they work at 1150mhz, when there in the blue slots they will lock up, i assume it has something to do with "Sli enabled" since I only have one card

Awesome m8. Ive given you an 8/10 :) That rig has great looks and great hardware!

Your 3DMark06 score is a bit low m8, you should be getting 13k+ out of that beast ;) (you should overclock the CPU)

You do know Im using only one card?
I have not overclocked the cpu at all
I finally got the memory right
here are the new scores
Also stop all of nortons, antivirus services as it was dropping me about 300-400 points with all the I/O reads.
I will overclock the proc later tonight and see where it goes.

I realise you have 1 card m8 ;) But what I mean is, I have a single 8800GTX and a Q6600, you have a single 8800Ultra and a Q6600, yet I get 13059 in 3DMark06 ;) Overclock your CPU and you will be getting a score that should be far better then mine ;) (Im overclocked @ 2.83GHz but thats the limit from my motherboard sadly)

See your overclocking your proc, where I have yet to do that.
What proc stepping do you have B3 or G0?
I will oc mine and im sure I can get a better score, I just really dont like forcing it past its limit as logically its not meant to be run that way, but for scoring I will do it tonight.

Ive got the G0 stepping m8. Dont be such a pussy, overclock that sucka :) (joke)

Seriously, you will be fine if you overclock and leave it overclocked permanently. The Core2Duo & Core2Quad were built with overclocking in mind tbh.
