First Alleged AMD Radeon RX 7900-series Benchmarks Leaked

^^ That's five months old.

The driver woes are older.

It's not like Nvidia drivers have any less shit. TPU itself is hosting a Nvidia driver de-bloater, there have been nvidia releases which made the cards physically burn due to messing with overclock/power limit/vsync options, etc...

This thread is like a dumpster fire. Just the right thing when it's freezing outside, lol.

So, let's throw in another bone (which imo will be the most spot on in rasterization performance):

But we're only a few hours away from official benchmarks & reviews getting the green light, so let's get a cup of tea & chill out.

A supposedly leaked or fake article (I don’t know which and don’t care either) generated 6 pages or more of mostly nonsense. Success, I might say TPU, with those ads? Gotta pay the bills

I am just waiting for the actual reviews and the AMD reference models do look good to me, aesthetically.

I posted this a few months ago, and it is still relevant.

I checked my mail this past week and my checks still haven't arrived. Nor was there a mailer for me being a repeat customer.

Did anyone get theirs yet?

As a hobbyist in this field for 20+ years now.... I have mentioned before, it completely baffles me the very hardlines people have regarding brand loyalty in this space. Last time I was aware, I hadn't received my customer appreciation check in the mail from AMD, Nvidia, Intel, etc.

Well hey, it wasn't that long ago people were horrified by a $1000 GTX Titan, now a $899+ AMD card has the potential to be an exciting bargain.

You have to laugh.

Gotta give it to Nvidia Fanboys, they are ON IT when any news is posted about AMD
You must see how this goes both ways, Nvidia news/threads here are littered with AMD's fans getting ON IT too.

I've never quite seen the likes of this for any other type of community (both sides fans putting forward terrible attitudes), where they just have to continuously be where the opposing people are being as negative as possible, and giving it their absolute best to try and turn anyone away from purchasing the competing products.

I fanboy for no company, but am fairly constantly under attack for my purchase decision/s, because they're not the decisions that person would have made.

Because these benchmarks are fake. You have literally 1000's of these youtube benchmark charlatans posting all sorts of gpu/cpu numbers for products that haven't even come out yet without ever showing proof they actually have them.
why u say like that, these benchmark leaks is fake ?? i dont think so......

I don't understand people ( TheoneandonlyMrK ) who defend a brand when there is clear proof they fu...cked up, do you have a financial interest ? what do you gain from this ?
These corporation's have no shame ripping us off whenever the opportunity arises, why should anyone hold back and be sympathetic with any mistake they make after years of crypto and high prices, if they demand as much money from us then we should demand top notch products.
You're mentioning one (new) game for your (alleged) driver issues. One game that has been absolutely shit in performance. On both vendors, with "mixed-rating" on steam, and that seems to be partially at the very least from that performance issue.
If you check steam reviews, a lot of people have (and are) complaining about performance issue.

A fine example of that whataboutism that is brought up whenever Our Lord And Saviour AMD is questioned.

What time today do the embargos lift? 2PM GMT?

As far as I know Nvidia never said that RTX 4090/Ada Lovelace was aiming for 4Ghz, but AMD did say that RDNA3 was "architected to achieve 3Ghz":

(Edited picture from this reddit post)
Being unable to hit that target, if confirmed, would imply that there was some major hiccup in the development of the architecture.

DUDE! Just because they said something and didn't do it doesn't mean "BUGS, TEH AMD BUGS, OMG cockroaches in TEH AMD GRAPHICS IAMA SO SMURTTTT!!"

They could be targeting lor lower wattage rather than higher performance and they could release a new product in the future that has 3GHz speeds that competes against the 4090.

Them not doing 1 thing they advertised, doesn't mean anything!!!!!

Stop posting utter made up GARBAGE!

Too bad that it's not what they are doing, 7900 XTX consumes power more than the 4080 for similar performance (and 7900 XT is even less efficient)

So, who is making up garbage? I mean, besides AMD.

Who cares that much about power consumption on a desktop card ? Are u running it on a battery ? No so doesn’t matter as long as it’s not some resource hog overheating mess which is not . There are no thermal issues being reported just not as efficient as initially thought out . These power arguments are really dumb unless we are discussing portables or some actual thermal concern

Actually W1zzard reported some thermal issues in the closing part of his 7900 XTX review:
I also noticed that as the card heats up, the frequencies will drop by a lot. In our thermal load test, the card starts out running at 2673 MHz, and stays in that state for around 20 seconds, good to get a boost on short running benchmarks, but then clocks go down to 2505 MHz and stay there until the card cools down again at the end of your gaming session. This 6.7% drop is clearly significant and costs AMD against the RTX 4080, which loses only 1% in the same test.
But this is mostly interesting because it might indicate little headroom for the kind of 3+Ghz, "RTX 4090 killer", version of the GPU that was implied above.

Yes sure. What do you say now? People still being so naive in 21st century. Just wow is all i can say.
u dont have a proof about allegation of that benchmark leaks is fake........

Dude how old are you? Go on youtube and write benchmarks. There's like a hundred of these youtube sites where they do these comparison benchmarks - mostly just numbers but sometimes they throw in gameplay side by side. And they never show the actual products while posting early leaks sometimes even 2 weeks before actual launch? Are you 10 or just pretending to be 30?

that's all your hearsay only..... u dont have one solid proof about that allegation from those benchmark leaks is fake..... !!!

I literally copy pasted the source link for this story ffs

Look how many of these there are
.....
All they show is numbers and head to head comparisons but never the hardware itself.
Are you seriously that naive?

So real reviews came in and navi does NOT have issues with 99th percentile frames. It still suck in RT, but that was known.
