Blizzard has released a new trailer showing its latest playable hero, Lifeweaver. It will launch alongside Season 4 on April 11th. Overwatch 2's latest support Hero is Lifeweaver, an intelligent and curious adventurer who plans to use his biolight technology to make the world a better place.

Lifeweaver will shift the dynamic of every fight by providing cover, leveraging his mobility, and impacting positioning in ways we've never seen before. Get acquainted with Lifeweaver's ability kit in his Gameplay Trailer and get ready for his debut in Season 4 on April 11.

Hailing from Thailand, Lifeweaver is characterized by his love and respect for nature as well as his advanced biolight technology. This groundbreaking technology is woven throughout his abilities, and it plays a pivotal role in the healing and utility aspects of his kit. Lifeweaver weapons and ability include Healing Blossom, Thorn Volley, Petal Platform, Rejuvenating Dash, Life Grip, and Tree of Life as his ultimate ability.

Overwatch 2 is available now in Early Access for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.

Did this really deserve a front page news post?

Driver updates and technical features (FSR, DLSS, RT, etc.) added to games are topical to the whole site.

I don't care if Fortnite adds a new Licensed character, WoT a new tank, nor whatever is going on here.

Regardless, we don't need updates to every MMO game's features/characters.
Which, is the implied precedent set here.
If that is in the cards, at least make a subsection (like THG does).

That's what I was wondering. Seriously, who gives a flying rats @$$! This kind of thing doesn't belong on TPU...

EDIT: I'm NOT saying the gaming news in general is unwelcome, because it is very interesting. But things like this belong on gaming sites focused on specific games.

Same here, i don't go on TPU to see news about games update (in term of content, it's great if it's for introduction of new technology)

I hope we will have news for new skins too :)

I agree, stahp already with this bullshit. If you play OW, you'll know this because it'll be plastered all over your email, the launcher, and game itself. If you don't, its utterly pointless to read.

My first skim of the headline read 'Blizzard unveils lifeweaver' and I thought they were finally going to launch something actually new. But its just another heap of cartoony pixels with 3 abilities in a game as deep as a piece of paper.

Believers of transhumanism preach their beliefs. Next time I will choose wisely were do I pay my money.

terrible art direction with awful visibility in a competitive FPS game - NO THANKS

I don't really play Overwatch anymore. I played OW2 for like 2 days, but I do like seeing gaming updates here. More articles to entertain us IMO and even criticize what the games and companies do. I personally would be fine with even more articles posted here as I am refreshing several times per day at this point and really enjoying this site. Of course not an extreme amount of articles, but I do like seeing your guys opinions on stuff like this. Even if it is "Blimey utter shite" PC enthusiasts are really enjoyable on how they got so much stuff figured out and the opinions they've formed.
:toast:

Also where's the PvE mode? They announced that years ago.

No one really plays OW anymore. Quick Play queues take around 5 minutes when they used to be instant. I don't blame people, the game is mostly corner peaking TDM now. It's completely different from how overwatch used to play.

I don't get Blizzard, I honestly don't. Where on the planet was this a good idea?

They're lining up Valve to simply release TF2 in Source 2 and get more interest from me in that.

So TPU gets a few new news people and this is the content posted? Anyone have a timeline on when the site sold out?

Blond European male in a gay pose; that is called false association. I don't give my money to fascists.

Around the time they started publishing 'sponsored' content about Windows and Office keys for $5 a piece. But hey, it's their site, they can do whatever they want with it.

How dare you assume their gender! And 'European'? You are implying there are caucasian people only in Europe? I think the word 'fascist' is really worn out today.

To be completely fair... those sponsor(ed) keysite posts have been really useful, for me. They've been reliably less expensive than similar(ly questionable) 'deals' posted on Slickdeals, etc.
I was surprised to find out that they actually *do* support their sales, even a year+ after purchase. When I was having issues activating my WS2019 license, I received quick replies to my e-mails, and in clear enough English.

Fundamentally, you're not wrong. I used to be a (very active) member (since I was a teen) of another well-known enthusiast forum, that sold out HARD. something... pursuit... something... performance...
I don't bother even opening their site unless it's an archived thread addressing an issue I'm having w/ old kit.
I sincerely hope that's not TPU's fate; fading out of use would be an arguably better end.

Some people just don't get it. It's perfectly legal, it benefits both the public AND the publishers. Publishers have been supplying those key sites directly. It's turned into something profitable for them.

But I digress, we're getting off topic...
