NVIDIA has released its newest Hotfix Driver 531.58 which is based on the latest Game Ready Driver 531.41, but brings fixes for The Last of Us Part 1 game that may randomly crash on GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards. It also fixes stability issues in Assassin's Creed Origins game, and corruption issues when FXAA is enabled in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

This hotfix addresses the following issues:
  • [The Last of Us Part 1] Game may randomly crash during gameplay on GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs [4031676]
  • Assassin's Creed Origins may have stability issues when using 531.18. [4008770]
  • [Resident Evil 4 Remake] Corruption in the game when FXAA enabled [4051903]

GeForce Hotfix Driver Version 531.58 can be found here and is available for Windows 10 x64 and Windows 11 x64.

I'm waiting for other fixes and still using 531.29.

No new mention of the latency problem?

this is one thing I like about the AMD driver release notes, they tell you what the known issues still are that they are aware of, on top of what was fixed.

Sounds about right Nvidia wouldn't have any transparency. Long live open source!

Nvidia does it too, it's just TPU doesn't mention it always.....

Open Issues in Version 531.41 WHQL
- Toggling HDR on and off in-game causes game stability issues when non-native resolution is used.
- Monitor may briefly flicker on waking from display sleep if DSR/DLDSR is enabled.
- [Halo Wars 2] In-game foliage is larger than normal and displays constant flickering
- [GeForce RTX 4090] Watch Dogs 2 may display flickering when staring at the sky
- Increase in DPC latency observed in Latencymon
- Applying GeForce Experience Freestyle filters cause games to crash
- Assassin’s Creed Origins stability issues using 531.18

You can always find it on guru3d or in nvidias own driver release notes.

@GFreeman just an fyi, if you forget in future though no big deal, but I think a lot of us here like to read this bit.

I'm beginning to see a pattern here on TechPowerUp of not reporting issues. We're in a happy happy place where problems don't exist and everyone is a happy customer!

There are no dying Samsung SSDs. When the prices increase more than a performance increase in one generation, we get an explanation why is that actually good and normal...

This new Hot fix didn't fix anything i just finished the game now it may have crashed over 35 times but the game was so good this is why i kept playing even at times i was frustrated with crashing but the story was so interesting especially that i never play this game before but i finished and now can't wait for part 2.

FInally, AC:Origin, hope won't be crashing when meditating or diving underwater.

I'll wait for a few days before I download this driver, considering the crap I went through with the driver before last. When someone comes up with what works and what doesn't I'll read that then decide. Last time it took me a week to fix my pc after the 531. 29 ( if I remember correctly) update. Not too bothered anyway the driver I have for my 4090 works how I want now anyway and I don't really play the latest releases because I'm not a sap.

Anyone got any ideea why??
