Intel has released a couple of new performance slides for the Arc A750, claiming better performance per dollar than RTX 3060 with the latest driver update. Intel has been pushing hard to improve its Arc GPU drivers, both fixing issues, bringing Game On support, and performance improvements. The latest Arc GPU Graphics Drivers 101.4311 beta update brought several Game On optimizations as well as some performance uplifts, mostly focused on the Arc A750 and DirectX 12, ranging from 4 percent up to 63 percent, depending on the game and the resolution.

Although the Arc A750 has 8 GB of GDDR6 memory has less memory than the RTX 3060 which comes with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory, bear in mind that the Arc A750 has a 256-bit memory interface compared to a 192-bit one on the RTX 3060 12 GB graphics card, leaving it with a higher 512 GB/s maximum memory bandwidth. The Intel Arc A750 is also less expensive, retailing at $249, compared to RTX 3060 12 GB, which sells at around $350.

According to Intel's own slides, the latest driver update brought decent performance improvements in several games, but more importantly, it is enough to give the Intel Arc A750 an edge, pushing it ahead of the RTX 3060 12 GB graphics card, at least in Dead Space Remake game. Although Intel has listed a bit of a higher price for the RTX 3060 12 GB, Arc A750 still offers higher performance per dollar, at least in some games. Of course, NVIDIA always has the RT and DLSS aces up its sleeve.

The Intel Arc A750 was pretty high on the performance per dollar in our review back in October last year, even when it was priced at $290, and with the recent driver updates, it is an even better choice.

My son needs a new GPU to replace his GTX 980.. it is refreshing to see some competition in this space. It has been dominated by two players for too long. Not all gamers have a job, my son is legally too young to work, and the thought of spending a thousand bucks on a GPU is sickening.. since I have more than one son :D

Intel should have learned from AMD that better value does not guarantee sales...Nvidia's mindshare cannot be broken with a better product because the vast majority of consumers don't make purchasing decisions based on rational, objective, empirical data...they make those decisions based on their feelings, emotions, and perceptions regardless of how divorced they are from reality.

Well.. I started with ATi, and I tried an AMD card shortly after they bought them. The hardware was nice, but the software was terrible. Never had the problems that I had with Nvidia, so I stuck with them. But ever since they and AMD started to gouge the heck out of their customers, I dont want to support either of them in any way. But if Intel can fill the spot, I would gladly buy their hardware just to stick it to the other guys.

I would wait. I bought the Acer A770 predator thinking I would benefit from the pcie 4.0 over my older RTX 2080 FE (pcie 3.0) and was so dissapointed I'm back with the Nvidia. Sluggish, mouse lags, scrolling weird. Simple programs like Irfanview shut down with a huge delay often after a short(ish) freeze. I could go on. It is a beautiful card, but just too many things. Also the Intel updates may not sit well with 3rd party cards.

That's pretty much why I don't have one yet.

They will get it right at some point..

Since you have more than one, you could buy one really good and virtualize resources allocation between all the sons.

Both AIB cards and reference models use the same GPU core so any updates will impact them the same.

I'll look for the article - in my experience they did not behave the same. The Acer card did not like the plain vanilla drivers

It's asking a lot but could we get new reviews of the Intel graphics cards with the latest drivers. I mean if possible, no rush?

I really hope Intel perseveres. A750 is looking really nice, if they can deliver with 2nd generation I'm buying an Intel GPU. The hardware is there, it just needs software and Intel does have the $$ to make it right.

I'm sure once they are the same level in every way, the price will be as well.

I admit that I didn't have high hopes for them with these cards, but now I will give them their due credit. After this, it will be interesting to see what their next generation of cards brings. Assuming they stay at it this time, which I do hope they do.

This is why consoles dominate the gaming field today.

Same to me, I got a 6400 a year ago because Nvidias were too expensive and hard to find, what a bad decision, AMD drivers suck, period.
Frankly, I don't believe you. I've owned one AMD video card - ever, since the days prior to 3dfx Voodoo 1's, and this AMD card AND its drivers have been great IMO.

Now, I would believe the 6400 series being a low end card - might be garbage. With your choice of such a low end piece, what were you doing - other than light gaming that could turn out so bad?

I got that card because I was looking for a low profile video card for my HTPC, guess what, it sucks, why:

- Doesn't supports VRR on my Smart TV
- Limited to 8 bits, 10 and 12 bits doesn't works on Smart TV (my old 1050 TI did)
- Hardware acceleration on Kodi is now broken from about 3 or 4 versions from now
- Random Reboot when I turn off/on my Receiver

Frankly, I don't believe you either.
