Today, Focus Entertainment and Tindalos Interactive, in collaboration with 20th Century Games, revealed a gripping Story Trailer for Aliens: Dark Descent. The strategic, real-time, squad-based, tactical action game set in the iconic Alien universe lands June 20 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Pre-orders are available on all platforms and grant the Lethe Recon Pack as a reward. Discover the unbearable tension and horrific action of the game's cinematic narrative campaign now with the Story Trailer (below).

Prepare for a terrifying original Alien tale
In Aliens: Dark Descent, players take on real-time combat against iconic Xenomorphs and brand new threats. Using a range of tactical abilities, they recruit, level up and command a squad of Colonial Marines as one unit with intuitive controls on keyboard & mouse as well as on controller. Players will need to use their wits to navigate expansive, persistent and reactive levels where death is permanent. This thrilling gameplay takes place as heart-pounding events unfold the horrors and wonders of an authentic Alien narrative through a cinematic campaign full of sinister secrets.

The nightmare begins when the Otago spacecraft crash lands on Moon Lethe. The crew of Colonial Marines investigates the Xenomorph outbreak that activated the Cerberus Protocol—the planetary lockdown that is keeping them stranded. The player is their squad commander, leading them through a nerve-wracking experience against iconic Xenomorph creatures—from Facehuggers to Praetorians, Alien Queens and many more—as well as rogue human commandos and a brand-new threat. A cast of memorable characters set the plot in motion, notably Maeko Hayes, Deputy Administrator at Lethe's Pioneer Station; Jonas Harper, Sergeant for the US Colonial Marines; and Barbara Pryce, Colony Director for the Weyland-Yutani.

Gear up and discover the source of a strange and dire threat in Aliens: Dark Descent on June 20 when the game releases on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC. Digital and retail pre-orders are open for all platforms. For more information, visit the Focus Entertainment website.

Aliens really isn't fun without Predator and Colonial Marines.

When it's just Aliens and Marines, it's just boring. Another "horde mode".

When the PRedator is around, it's definitely more exciting.

I’m just happy that aliens franchise got the good treatment after the aliens colonial marines

wow, finally a website that actually links the steam store page in the original article. PCgamer and several other game websites I visit only ever send you to other links in their own site for ad bait, i have to say its really fucking nice and refreshing to see a reasonable human still exist in this ad infested horror show of a world.

@T0@st you rock my socks mate

I agree, its much more excited when all three are present at the same time, just gives the right "vibe" imo

There have been several games "basically this" but, with Copyright-friendly insertions for everything.
Some of those were fun, but got old fast. This, looks quite interesting.

Game's at risk of being a poor tactical TBS... I hope they flesh it out sufficiently and don't just use a setting to sell. Its not easy making a good TBS.
