Hopefully they are using the new updated connector on PSU side.
The article states 12VHPWR, not 12v-2x6. So probably not, but it's also 90⁰ so it might be a non-issue.

Not all GPU AIB makers have same connector orientation so that 90 degree cable will be either going towards PSU or towards top of motherboard.

Until we see what version of female pin is being used here (NTK female pin) or some other make in the connector for the power cable on both ends (12VHPWR) or their 2x8 pin to 12VHPWR cable or the new 12V-2x6 cable, it's a buyer beware situ for now if you plan to power an RTX 4090 with it (750 watt or higher PSU).
