okay thanks, everybody talking about Meteor lake, I really thought the 14900k was it. So the idea is wait for 15900k then and likely will also come with a new platform.
That is correct. Under Intel's newest nomenclature, Ultra means newest architecture. This 14th gen is an outlier, it was never intended to be released, it's just a re-release of the existing product lineup and a small "bump" for the i5 and i7 segments so they compete better with Zen 4 3D.
