Diamond Multimedia has made a big impact on the graphics card market with their lineup of Radeon video cards a while back and it was the first to announce the launch of Radeon HD2900XT 1GB just recently. Diamond now has plans on a new platform called xDNA. xDNA enables users to run a CrossFire setup on any chipset, and that includes NVIDIA chipsets. Users can pick almost any motherboard with any socket, fit it with two Diamond Radeon cards and run CrossFire on it using Diamond's xDNA technology.

I was waiting for this to happen!

Awsome!! Take that Nvidia!!

whoa. nvidia pooned! bring on the ati fanboys!

That is almost too good to be true... and if it takes off others will follow!

I'm actually looking forward to AMD's next slew of chipsets... but it's nice to have an option :)

Izit? I was waiting for this to happen! ATI Rule................:rockout: Why just ATI make a Driver that work on any Mobo?

I wonder how performance will be on xDNA compared to a native CrossFire chipset like X38 or something.

well
now we just need to wait for them :)

Really, I dont see why multi-gpu tech should require a specialized chipset. The tech is built into the PCI-E specification, its just the vendors being greedy that requires special chipsets.

Next up... raising the limit of cards in Crossfire from 2 (4 in the near future) to 8? 16? :D

No.... A Dual Core GPU or Quad Core GPU:banghead:

You can count me in when this is for sale.

Both of you don't really use your brains too much do you?

ALARM! Nvidia Fanboy! ok... no, you just criticized two users with out even stating your point or anything.... so, here you go.

So its only with the Diamond Card? I Can't do that with lets say Sapphire?

If ATI who make the driver then it will run on any mobo chipset:rockout:

hmmm doesn't sapphire something like that on their dual x1950pro? its a single card with 2 x1950pro chips on it running x-fire

I agree 110%

As long as xDNA is not driver based, I'm gonna pick up two Diamond 512MB RV670s!

*I have an NF4-SLI*

Too hillarious! I'm being called a Nvidia fanboy! I hate Nvidia. Yes I use thier card, but I hate them. And to give you a pointless point, I also hate people who bring up fanboys and corporate allegiences in newsposts.

No doubt, goodbye GTS! Hello 2 beautiful single slot ATi's!!

I'm sure it's all software driven and as shown in the past = less performance.
Don't get too excited or Nvidia will come to castrate you.
