Bethesda has released a new Starfield Update 1.7.36, which brings the previously promised updates to the game as well as fixes general stability and performance. While the previous update resolved some issues with AMD GPUs, namely the issue that caused lens flares not to appear correctly, issues with upscaling, and more, the latest one focuses on Intel Arc GPUs.

Bethesda made quite a few update promises, including built-in mod support and top community requests, but so far, updates have focused on general performance and stability issues. The latest one is not an exception either, but it does bring the promised FOV slider as well as improved stability for Intel Arc GPUs. It also adds various additional stability and performance improvements.

Bethesda still has to bring brightness and contrast controls, an HDR calibration menu, NVIDIA DLSS support, 32:9 ultra-wide monitor support, and the eat button for food.

Here are the full release notes for the announced Starfield Update 1.7.36.

they need to add more weapons and more variants of stuff to find on the planets.

Hoping they do a cyberpunk / no man's sky style build out to flesh the game out a bit more.

Modders took 4 days to add 30 useful things
Bethesda took 30 days to add 4 little no one notice 'fixes'

Instead of watching worthless update news from Bethesda
Spend the time to checkout my Argama-class assult carrier is lot better.:)
(All vanilla parts, mods not needed.)

Totalbiscuit would be proud.

9 years in the making and they couldn't add a FOV silder from day 1 ?

What have they been doing all those years ?

It's silly since they've had FOV sliders in games before. But I believe those were added also.

The main thing is that they disabled the FOV command IN THE GAME from the console, so you had to make .ini string edits.

I removed my .ini file edit in order to use the slider in game. And in all their wisdom, they didn't put it in Display, or Graphics... They put it in Accessibility. Like, WTF?

Trust me, people will notice the Arc stability fix. So many Arc owners gave up on the game and Intel has had to try to keep up by making their own executable to even make the game work properly. FINALLY Bethesda addresses the issue themselves.

Ah..
And they fixed the New Atlantis technician box as soon as possible...caused me so much trouble playing the ship building game.

Adding FOV Slider
LOL
They are in the PC business for decades, many of their games were the "top benchmark" for PC performance testing in it's day.
They know, it is essential, and they putting it in always
.... later
Not on launch day...

Where are the Brightness, HDR, and DLSS options? The game feels more like a beta than a 1.0 released game. :(
